I cry for my country.

We have fallen to lows no one could have expected or predicted ten years ago. We now have the international press describing the detainment facility at Guantanamo Bay as a stain on the military. They are not correct. The facility and the people who ordained its existence and who set forth Draconian rules of procedure and law are stains not only on our military but upon all of us:

It was predictiable.

Recently I read an article in the Wall Street Journal where Citigroup Inc., Robert Rubin said, that this economic crisis we find ourselves in could not have been predicted or prepared for.

Nobody Could Have Predicted…

“Nobody was prepared for this,” Mr. Rubin said in an interview. He cited former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan as another example of someone whose reputation has been unfairly damaged by the crisis.
