A headline Thursday declared Trump “the Antichrist.” Wonder what the evangelicals say about that? Even worse, wonder if he even cares?
Trump’s misuse of American military raises serious questions about his competence as commander-in-chief or his understanding of the limitations the law and Constitution puts on a president to assure equal protection to Americans.
The decorated retired general says he was “angry and appalled” by Trump’s actions that he adds are against the Constitution of the United States. Trump claims he fired Kelly. Former chief of staff John Kelly says Trump lied. Mattis resigned and Kelly praised the retired general’s work and service.
Democrats and Republicans alike called Trump’s actions a debasing of America and a Republican said: “The president used force against American citizens, not to protect property, but to soothe his own insecurities.” George Will wrote: “Trump must be removed.”
Trump’s over-the-top threat to start shooting protestors is aimed, at course, to the fact they are black and are protesting the death of a black man in the hands of white pollce officers.
Trump is a disgrace to America. So are the cowardly Republicans who let him ignore the law, any value worth honoring and the Constitution of the United States. And so are those who vote for him.
