Memorial Day

On Memorial Day, it should not matter if you are Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, independent or a political agnostic.

It should not matter if you are conservative, liberal or uncommitted.

It should not matter if you are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist or atheist.

It should not matter if you care or just don’t give a damn.

On Memorial Day, the only that should matter is if you are an American.

If so, you should take a break from the picnic, the swim, the golf swing, the lawnmower, the couch or whatever and remember those who put on the uniform of their country and served without question, without hesitation and without selfishness.

This is the day to honor those who put country above politics, patriotism above pettiness and service above expedience.

Remember and thank the men and women who made the sacrifice. Without them we would not be here to argue, debate, bitch, moan or enjoy that not-so-simple concept called freedom.

Amen!…Look what goes on in some other countries when people do the above — prison, torture, intimidation, threats to their family, and even death.
