Dry weather throughout the summer and a warmer than normal fall has limited the Autumn colors in many areas of the country. These turning leaves along the Shenandoah River near Winchester, Virginia, provide some color while the East Coast of the United States suffered from high temperatures and humidity and the Gulf Coast braced for a hurricane.
