1. Predicting the future is…of course….very difficult. The only ones who might have an edge in doing it are some scientists, actuaries, and science fiction writers. But, the rest of us, I believe, are barely novices.

    RE: what was quoted in the article as to people’s predictions: “…runaway technology or runaway government, rampant poverty or vanishing morality…” We don’t know where people get these concepts. Are they more a fear of the future than a prediction? Do these fears come to them via movies they view, books they read, or what they hear from the pulpit (“vanishing morality”)…or from simply watching Miley Cyrus?…or are they internal demons (Monsters from the Freudian Id).
