Michele Bachmann calling it quits in Congress

Tea Party centerfold Michele Bachmann is leaving Congress.

The Minnesota right-winger announced Wednesday she will not seek a fifth term in the House but would not elaborate on why she is leaving.

Some think Bachmann, who has ventured off into strange — and voter alienating — territory by aligning herself with tea party extremists and who also faces ethics questions over her questionable 2012 Presidential campaign, could have faced a serious challenge for re-election.

If that is the reason, she is not admitting it.  She claims neither her re-election chances or the ethics investigation had anything to do with the decision to quit but she also is not giving any other reason for throwing in the towel.

In a video posted early Wednesday, Bachmann said:

After a great deal of thought and deliberation, I have decided next year I will not seek a fifth congressional term. After serious consideration, I am confident that this is the right decision.

My hunch is that she’s retiring from Congress to have another shot at the Presidency.

    God help us all.

Michele is the perfect poster child for the latest conglomeration of the religious right/liberal- hating left group who formed after world war 2 when the John Birch Society formed around the Pat Robertson University graduates who designed the concept that anything done in the name of Jesus Christ was legal in America.

America did not heal ethically after WW 1 and then 2 and was drawn into the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. We had too many years where our families had temporary fathers and no “heads of the households” to be found anywhere.

We had no culture to guide us except for television programs based on live audiences and controlled laugh tracts. We traded dialog for slap stick falling down drunks.

Too many wars gave us too many forms of entertainment without a hint of joy. One could buy books by the room full and nobody bothered to read them.

Michele Bachmann is not crazy. She is a typical American woman trying to live as a Christian in 2013.
