It seems like the Republicans are embarrassed by her idiotic comments. She rented out all those rooms figuring that she would be a headliner at the Republican Convention and she was not invited and was ignored. Romneys have given a strong message that they represent family values and two parent households and that teenagers don’t have the maturity to raise a baby. That doesn’t sound like they would have their daughters on a TV show about shacking up or a reality show about how lacking they are in parenting skills and dissing the father of her child in front of the child. It seems like the people of Wasilla are uneducated and are more interested in getting pregnant and getting media attention and writing books –and that every family member is looking for a low class, easy way to make money. Forget your teaching job–it pays more money if you write a book about your relatives and don’t have your kids go to public school because that is for elitists. What’s important in life for the Palins is the clothes you wear, the plastic surgery you can have, and the amount of media attention you can get. Standards are low in Alaska–they are more interested in making money and racing expensive snowmobiles or ATV’s than figuring out how to use less energy. Animals are there for killing and showing off the stuffed animal–and your wealth is measured by how many antlers you have hanging out in the garage. And your worth as a Governor is determined by how much money you get in earmarks for your state.

Sarah Palin brought ugliness to politics. Call it being a pitbull or a Grizzly Granny or a Barracuda or even a Person who has gone Rogue–she seems proud of the fact that she has made one line zingers more memorable than facts or truthfulness. She has tried to convince her fans that she is qualified because she didn’t abort her baby or because her daughter became a pregnant teenage unwed mother. She has given the message that it is OK with her if her husband has sex with others–as long as he also brings in money from a prostitution ring. All of her teenagers have had their lives tarnished because of drug and alcohol and problems obeying the law–yet she brags about her skills as mother. Her children all do poorly in school-so she gives the message that common people don’t need an elite education. Sarah Palin has turned politics into a blood sport–she who says the most outrageous comments whether they be racist or inflammatory, that person rallies her fans to see her as a victim and not that she is divisive and lining her own pockets rather than uniting the nation. Sarah Palin seems to think that the uglier and meaner a person is, that shows the people that she is strong and can do any job that a man does. If a man stands up to her and challenges her, he is being a bully. If you are Palin and place bullseye targets on your political foe, she calls that going rogue.

The racism of yesteryear has come full circle in our county. The entire world embraced our choice of a black President four years ago and most nations still support him. The fringe elements of bigotry have crept through into the mainstream once again with conservative mouthpieces planting the seeds of hate. The only doubt lies here at home rooting from bigotry.
