Romney would allow illegal immigrants to remain in America under Obama’s executive order

Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney says he would allow illegal immigrants provided with work permits by President Barack Obama to stay in the United States under the two-year program.

Said Romney in an interview with The Denver Post:

The people who have received the special visa that the president has put in place, which is a two-year visa, should expect that the visa would continue to be valid. I’m not going to take something that they’ve purchased.

Romney has promised immigration reform as part of his campaign platform.

Obama signed an executive order this past summer that allows young illegal immigrants to earn the two-year work visas and remain in the country.
