Tue, 25 Sep 2012 23:01:37 +0000 http://www.capitolhillblue.com/?p=45178#comment-209100 I’m repeating myself re: the opposition to same-sex marriage by the conservatives…when I write….the big buzz word for them and the Rom is “freedom”…Now, this is something they want…..freedom to do this and freedom to do that….but when they see a group they do not like or do not agree with….then they want that group’s freedom restricted (no marriage or civil union for them!)

So, their motto seems to be: give them freedom, but hey, re: those “other people”….they shouldn’t have it.

The objections come from the religious right, When the number of marriages stand on 50% divorce rate, what defense is even necessary? My mother had 4 husbands and my husband had 5 wives. The problem is so foolish that a large number of younger Americans are choosing not to marry at all. Many are also choosing not to breed. This is what happens when people want the churches and government involved. There is no need for any of this nonsense. We have too many children now. Our schools are unable to teach simple reading and writing skills and the neighborhoods are over flowing with kids without parents at home. Parents and schools gave up years ago, Our kids graduate from high school with enough skills to flip hamburgers. We have to import immigrants to build our homes, and immigrants to staff restaurants to feed us.
