Responding Thursday to a question on whether or not Obama might dump his veep from the tickets after another ground of gaffes, White House spokesman Jay Carney said “that was settled a long, long time ago.”
The questions came amid speculation from the Republican camp that Obama might be wise to cut Biden loose.
Not gonna happen, Carney said:
I have great admiration for and respect for, and a long relationship with, Senator John McCain, but one place I would not go for advice on vice presidential running mates is to Senator McCain.
In other words, why listen to the man who picked Sarah Palin as a running mate.
Biden has come under fire for his remarks that Republicans would put Americans “in chains” if GOP challenger Mitt Romney wins the Presidency.
The vice president also has trouble remembering where he is. Campaigning in Virginia this week, Biden told crowds at two stops that “with your help, we can carry North Carolina.”
