Both sides of the aisle in Congress are contemptible on the whole. Without exception, all GOP members certainly are. They have gone ahead with the House Leader’s statement that their only real goal is to make Obama a one-term President, making sure to filibuster any and all Dem bills to death. The Dems, for their part, have been totally unwilling to go against big money donors, as have the GOP. What I fail to understand, however, is that when the Dems are in control, they simply will not ram through any and all the laws they and the POTUS want, while the GOP has no such scruples. WAKE UP, Dems! You cannot negotiate with the present group of Republicans, they will stab you in the back EVERY time. All they care about is getting rid of abortion, fixing voting laws eligibility so that only they can win, and defeating the Dems at any and all costs, even national default.

Doug!…I loved the quotes from Will Rogers and Mark Twain!….RE: Jesus finding Congress in contempt, from the humble reading I’ve done re: something like this…I’d say Jesus almost two thousand years ago, stayed out of politics which terribly disappointed the Jews that were fighting Roman rule. So even today, he’d probably take the same tack with Congress.

Mr. Thompson, how do you explain the willingness of the American citizen to align ourselves with political parties, media sources, and talking heads in this day?

It is though we have submitted to misinformation, propaganda, and forced mind control.

What this country needs is a pill to cure stupidity!

Only then, will congress, president, news media, and talking heads fear us.
