Condi Rice endorses Mitt Romney: Is she a potential running mate?

Former Secretary of State Condi Ric

Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State during the Presidency of George W. Bush, Wednesday endorsed Mitt Romney for President.

Said Rice at a fundraiser in California:

We care about the future of this country and the future of the world and I’m delighted to join so many friends here in supporting and, in my case, endorsing Gov. Mitt Romney for president of the United States. We have to defend the country, not just from (a position of) strength and power but from a sense of values of who we are.

GOP insiders tell Capitol Hill Blue that Rice is on Romney’s “short list” of potential picks as a running mate.  Focus groups and GOP internal polling show Rice could help Romney with two constituencies he needs — women and African Americans — to beat incumbent President Obama.

Does anyone know how Rice stands on individual freedoms? Romney is all over the place and can change from one day to the next. He chose to follow the RNC pro-life with federal laws to be made to remove all choices made by women on any number of cases. It is folly to vote for a man of such little character as Governor Romney but if he chooses a V.P. of rational and logical concepts of the law, it might get some of the old GOP back in line for the final election.

Is Rice a Neo-Con? I have had many doubts after witnessing her lack of standing firm on the 911 Committee Report. The Report showed many flaws when it came to the time line immediately following the strikes in New York and Pennsylvania. Covering 43’s arse was more important than discussing the facts of when the government overlooked many warnings. To me it destroyed my respect for the entire Republican political machine. 43 was lacking in comprehending the whole Taliban mess and Romney is even worse at facing facts of where America stands in ethics and morals when it comes to government actions.

I want all actions from the GOP erased from our future government plans. Too much dirty laundry still survives within the GOP. Just cleaning it up under the religious attitude just adds another level of fraud. When it comes to the abuse of power, the GOP wins the gold ring. Rice was in the middle of this abuse 100% and she never said a damn thing. Romney has no mind of his own. From the day he dedicated his life to the Latter Day Saints, he lost his independent character. Everything he has ever done has been for the church and all he has done is make it look good.

He has been the model Mormon and the leadership under the Prophet knows it. He was groomed for the position of leadership in D.C. At the age of 9, all Mormons are asked to dedicate their lives to the church. I walked away from this oath but others can’t. His father put the pressure on his son to continue the pursuit of power. I shudder to see what a weak man like Romney would do with this power.

As an old American, I have seen enough wars and what they can do to our American young men and women. It is time for all of us to put down the weapons and start rebuilding our government, our states, cities and most important, our families. If we want a strong America, we must rebuild our schools and teach our kids how to respond to problems knowing right versus wrong. In my world, I do not see this particular religion strong on right over wrong and that disqualifies any Mormon from running for any office.

Even basic Christians can sin and then beg for forgiveness and the sin is forgotten. We have seen this for years in the White House. It is a cheap cop out to cover many terrible decisions made by our candidates and politicians. Christian leadership is bringing America down and dividing the government and the voters into unspeakable actions being overlooked.

Many of us are ashamed to be Moderate Republicans after 8 years of 43. He set the standards of abusing power under a load of praying for forgiveness and in my world it should be washed away. Romney is too weak to hold this position. Every decision he makes, if elected, will have to be discussed by the LDS Prophet in Salt Lake City. This is not what our founders had in mind but they most certainly would not have wanted the mess we have in America today.

I’m not convinced that President Obama is the best choice for reelectiion but he will get my vote because he seems to understand individual freedoms that have been taken out of the GOP.
