Ousted agent bragged about ‘checking out’ Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin says the joke’s on the ousted Secret Service supervisor who wrote on Facebook that he was “checking her out” while protecting the former Republican vice presidential candidate during the 2008 campaign.

“Well, check this out, buddy — you’re fired!” Palin said Thursday in a Fox News interview.

David Chaney, one of two supervisors forced out of the Secret Service this week in fallout from an embarrassing prostitution scandal, posted at least two photographs of himself with Palin, along with another in which a woman in a revealing bikini top stood in the background, looking at Chaney.

That photo was captioned: “not in front of my son.”

Chaney wrote of his assignment guarding Palin: “I was really checking her out, if you know what i (sic) mean?” after a friend commented on the picture posted in January 2009.

Details of the photos and comments were first reported by The Washington Post.

Palin said the scandal is “a symptom of government run amok.”

“It’s like, who’s minding the store around here?” Palin told Fox. “The president, for one, he better be wary, there, of when Secret Service is accompanying his family on vacation. They may be checking out the first lady instead of guarding her.”

Earlier Thursday, the White House had expressed renewed confidence in the director of the Secret Service in the midst of the sordid scandal, which threatens to become a serious political distraction in an election year. A key lawmaker who oversees the Secret Service predicted more firings there soon.

President Barack Obama’s chief spokesman, Jay Carney, noted that some Secret Service employees involved have already lost their jobs, just days into the government’s formal investigation of the incident last weekend in Colombia, where Obama attended a summit meeting. Carney said the president’s security in Cartagena was never compromised, and he asked for patience as official investigations continue.

“Perhaps it would be in the interests of a complete and thorough and fair investigation not to make determinations about the conclusions of an investigation before they’ve even been reached,” Carney said. “That’s the president’s position.”

The scandal arose near the start of the Summit of the Americas when at least some of 11 Secret Service employees brought prostitutes back to their Cartagena hotel. The agency has moved quickly to try to quell the embarrassing episode, forcing out three employees so far, including two supervisors.

Lawrence Berger, general counsel for the Federal Law Enforcement Officials Association, confirmed Thursday he is representing the supervisors, Chaney and Greg Stokes, but said he could not discuss details of the investigation.

A third employee has resigned. The employees under investigation include members of the agency’s “jump teams,” which are sent to sites to set up security in advance of the president’s arrival. Others are on counter-assault and counter-sniper teams. The majority of the group is believed to be based in the Washington area.

Eight men remain suspended and have had their top-secret security clearances lifted. The scandal also involves about 10 military personnel and as many as 20 Colombian women.

Rep. Peter King, a New York Republican and chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, said more firings could be imminent.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw more dismissals and more being forced out sooner rather than later,” said King, who is being updated on the investigation by Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, the senior Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he thought more people would be fired within “just a few days.”

Three U.S. military officials have said the military personnel include five Army Green Berets, two Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposal technicians, two Marine dog handlers and an Air Force airman. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is still under way.

An Air Force colonel and a military lawyer have gone to Colombia as part of the military investigation. The Secret Service probe has included interviews with the employees and hotel staff.

I thought I’d never write this, but in this instance Sarah Palin has my sympathy…..David Chaney “wrote of his assignment guarding Palin: ‘I was really checking her out, if you know what i (sic) mean?’”

Now does the Secret Service, an esteemed and professional and serious (or it should be) agency, need people like him who show such incredibly poor judgment that they post such a comment about their work and its interface with a public figure on a publicly-viewed social network site?

I don’t know what more you can say which is not obvious about such an hapless individual.

I can think of nothing more degrading or embarrassing to the USA than the 2008 Presidential election with Gov. Palin on the ticket with Senator John McCain. Palin comes off as a well-dressed hillbilly lacking the ability to read or write for a person running for the number two position in our government. She is still confused about the actions behind the election and formed her own positions around the First and Second Amendment purely as an attention-getting trick.

She still draws attention when any commentary uses a picture of her as a draw to read further. Our whole political attention is based on how someone looks rather than what they stand for.

The religious right has made a laughing stock of the entire Republican Party. The focus is to degrade women as abusers of our entire system of equality. To put Sarah Palin in a position of leadership is a travesty of ignorance.

There is no glue of togetherness anywhere in the GOP and our fumbling leaders running for office are whimps living in fear of people like Rush Limbaugh.

Gov. Romney does not have it within himself anywhere to stand up for right over wrong. Many deeply religious men have been taught since childhood to worship the belief in God and downsize the importance of women. The LDS church looks at women only as breeders of other Mormons. This is very appealing to many men.

With the Separation of Church and State gone from the minds of all the candidates, the Christians will run the government just as has been done all over the world. Islam and Judea have the middle east and Christianity in many forms runs the Americas. This is the set up for the continuation of wars between everyone.

I remember the end of WW2. The sense of relief was followed by a sense of fear following the war. That new fear was that Christians would eventually knock down the First Amendment and take over the interpretation of freedom of religion to take over all our states as a group of Christian believers.

Eventually it would expose and promote the white supremacy of the masses and paint the USA as a white Christian straight nation of men. This plan comes from the occult factions of voodoo where all spirits must be washed away from the American mind. Remember when the Minister in Alaska cleansed the devil out of Palin’s brain to allow her to win the Governor’s election?

Even Speaker Gingrich claims that the devil lives in the minds of all Liberals and we must rid old Satan from our House and Senate. Even today, we read that several musicians believe that our government is made up of Communists. We are back to the Birch Society once more and we must never forget that these dedicated Christians are armed and ready to kill anyone who leans to the left.

Our voters are getting crazier every two years. What is it they really want? I remember the original prohibitions promised to the GOP if Bush 43 won his election. We are talking about a ban on gay marriages, a ban on abortions, a ban on death with dignity, a ban on birth control and even, if possible, an Amendment to the Constitution banning all these things as sins.

We are back to this list of prohibitions only this time our Social Security and Medicare provisions will be torn apart as part of the new and improved Republican Conservative Party. Our immigration laws will no longer be a state list of restrictions but giving the authority to Homeland Security to put them all in prison.

Freedoms and Liberties are missing from all levels of the Conservative movement and the GOP just might win the gold ring in 2012. They have been told that God wants them to lead our nation.

What are their plans for the many non-believers? Are we to be treated like the Japanese Americans during WW2? God is driving Gingrich, Santorum and Perry to stand at the ready for a new revolution to put Jesus in the power of the Constitution.

Romney will have us all baptized before removing our property rights. That is his only commitment to other Americans. Our nukes will be focused at Islam and possibly Israel to put America on top of the totem pole. That totem pole is made in China……

The Secret Service is a symptom of the bigger problem of depraved lunatics running the government.
