Gingrich sugar daddy under investigation for corrupt practices

Sheldon Adelson

A casino mogul, under investigation for violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, is the largest single contributor to the Presidential hopes of former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and the one keeping the campaign afloat.

Sheldon Adelson calls himself “the richest Jew in the world” and he used those riches to help Gingrich rise from the political ashes to become a frontrunner for the GOP Presidential nomination.

Adelson, owner of Las Vegas Sands Corp., and his wife Miriam, have pumped more than $10 million into a shadow political action committee backing Gingrich, federal campaign disclosure records reveal.

Campaign finance experts tell Capitol Hill Blue the donations rank as the largest known donations to a single campaign in American history.

Adelson funded a 28-minute film attacking former GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney‘s tenure as head of Bain Capital.  The film is considered a major factor helping Gingrich come from a fifth place finish inthe  Iowa caucuses to an upset win in the South Carolina primary.

His contributions also provided most of the funding for a $6 million ad buy in Florida.  The spots will attack Romney’s health care plan in Massachusetts with claims it was the foundation for President Barack Obama‘s health care overhaul.

Both the FBI and the Securities and Exchange Commission are investigating Adelson for crimes under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.  He owns casinos in Las Vegas, Macau and Singapore.

    ELECTION FRAUD!!!

In Iowa, Santorum support goes from 3% (where it was for weeks) to 25% in all of three days!!

Isn’t that statistically impossible unless he was handing out gold bars?

Ron Paul had been leading Polls up to that point, ends up in third on election day.

In South Carolina, the GRINCH had to cancel a rally due to poor attendance.

The GRINCH campaign received a $5 MILLION dollar donation from an Israeli lobbiest, Sheldon Adelson.

The GRINCH manages to somehow pull out a victory despite NOT inspiring real people to show their support!!

South Carolina’s Attorney General Alan Wilson agrees with you, as do I.

Primary elections have always been linked to ‘dirty politics’, ballot box stuffing, intimidation etc. It’s simply linked to partisan frenzy; I.E.,getting their main man/woman nominated at any price, regardless of their ethical bonafides etc.

The sad state of this process is that we have citizens motivated by a demonstrable low metric in determining who’s going to be offered to the greater electorate in the general election. Independents are out of the loop due to their non-alignment with parties, leaving only party apparatchiks and ideologues to determine who’s going to be served up to the rest of us in November 2012…OUCH! : (

So we have a relative minority of rabid partisans determining what’s best for America and it ain’t good with the likes of these candidates excepting candidate Ron Paul. Yep, he’s old, not so glamorous, but he sticks to the serious issues that this nation must address or we’re soon to be come a footnote in history. Believe it…!

As one of the decidedly not richest Jews in the world myself, I have to say I find it obnoxious if Sheldon Adelson calls himself “the richest Jew in the world”. I have no reason to doubt he has said this.

I find it somewhat less obnoxious that when you Google worlds richest Jews to top website is the Jerusalem Post article listing the 50th richest Jews in the world.

Actually Adelson is listed as number 15 there, but that isn’t my point. Let others “brag” about your wealth or accomplishments. It is just tacky to brag about yourself.

( I do admit I came across a website showing pictures of the 50 most beautiful Jewish female celebrities and looked at all of them. )

If he said such he’s just demonstrating a bit of chutzpah is all. He’s a selfmade billionaire and based on his Wiki bio is entitled to say such regardless of it seeming somewhat tacky. : )

Upon digging into this story it turns out his wife Dr. Miriam Adelson, an Israeli physician dropped an additional 5 million on Newt in order to create the PAC.

Besides billionaires get bored, they need something to do with their money, even if it’s wasting it on promoting a lost cause such as Newt Gingrich & Co.

Now, if we could just get Mr/Ms C.H.B. Staff to use pictures of them as lead-ins to the articles, we might enjoy them a bit more. :)

Sheldon Adelson surely isn’t short on cash to pitch at campaign issues, but he’s wasting his money on Gingrich. Newt Gingrich will never be President of the United States, simply ensuring another term for Barack Obama. It’s said that Obama fears moreso a standoff against Mitt Rommney.

The real tragedy of this Gingrich party-based ‘putsch’ is that we have to suffer his belligerent, in our face, losing presence for many months come. Seemingly campaign 2012 is going to be a ‘root canal’ experience for the ‘rethugs’. : ))

We have the best government money can buy.

    …and still it’s news!

would Americans really prefer Gingrich or Romney over Ron Paul?
    Really?
    War, and more war abroad?
Less liberty at home and more intrusion into our lives?
    I don’t believe it’s true.
It doesn’t add up when you think about it.
Too many people want the troops home.
Ron Paul has more support from military members than any other candidate.
Who’s paying the media to say differently?

“Who’s paying the media to say differently?” …extract from post

Seemingly it’s the likes of Mr. Adelson & company that control presidential outcomes. Give the MSM enough ‘grease’ along with their world class ability to market just about any idea to our braindead electorate and voila you have a Barack Obama,Newt Gingrich, G.W. Bush or a Bill Clinton elected to the presidency regardless of whatever dirt can be found on them. Seemingly these media based entities have the power to get a ‘ham sandwich’ elected to our highest office.

    “Ham Sandwich for President”…! =D>

Actually the idea sounds more palatable then the human meat puppets that end up holding office in these modern times all to our collective hazard.

Newt’s backing those lobbyists right now. Ex politicians turned Lobbyists are the ones that get all of the Homeland Security / bogus war on terror / Defense contracts that are bankrupting us. This was Newt & the boys PNAC agenda. How do ya justify a Pentagon budget that went from 297 billion a year in 2001, to 600+ billion a year today? Add in the cost of the wars & the Homeland Security / bogus WOT crap, and we’re pissing away like 1 trillion a year. He’s backing those oil-stain lobbyists, too.

  9. eve  January 27, 2012 at 9:14 am

CarlNemo, yet again you have presented a view I agree with whole-heartedly. If not Ron Paul I’m afraid a ham sandwich would be the better choice. LOL!

Rich men (with alterior motives for our once Constitutional Republic) have most certainly benefited from the media-dumbing down of the masses.

Then again, maybe the masses see it clearly but the media is paid to report it differently than the results suggest?

    A ham sandwich for pres?
I don’t particularly care for ham but given the choice between Newt and ham, ham wins.
    LOL!

It’s been awhile, but I don’t know where else to post this, and I feel that anouther Thanks Doug is long past due. I just realized that there a probably a couple of million people saying the same things that I have been saying for probably about fifty years and the only way that I have promoted my thoughts and opinions were through CHB. From 1 to three, to a couple hundred, to thousands, to millions. It’s not just me, all of America should be saying a big Thanks Doug.
