Thanks Woody188 for posting an indictment list of of those that would crater this nation in the interest of serving their sinister ideals which are a hybrid merger of communism and fascism hatched in hell itself.

Truly a suberb link presentation that shines a mighty spotlight on these traitorous PNAC 'rats' that would sell us all out of few dollars, euros, shekels or yuan more; but, Ron Paul is a con artist, crook, a little old man and whatever else the naysayers may charge. Evidently they like their HDTV entertained, velveteen lined, shop until you drop, junk food paradigm, that's posturing as freedom and justice for all under the law. Without a seachange provided by Ron Paul, these lazy-thoughted, less than discerning swine will get the government they deserve in spades.

Damn, these PNAC characters all look so evil, corrupt and burnt out on their drug of choice;I.E., absolute power which corrupts absolutely, with the look of escapees from the crypt. Yikes...!

It's too bad no one will challenge Kirchick to name the militia involved in the Oklahoma City bombing, as that is his insinuation.

I've seen his writing described as a "toxic mix of ignorance and callousness" particularly on his predictions for Iraq and Mauritania.

You may know Kirchick more from the people he works for at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies:

James Woolsey
Clifford May
Paula Dobriansky
Steve Forbes
Max Kampelman
Bill Kristol
Senator Joseph Lieberman
Richard Perle
Eric Cantor
Gary Bauer
Charles Krauthammer

It's a veritable who's who of those that wanted to attack Iraq in the Junior Bush administration. You know, those guys that called for "another Pearl Harbor event to galvanize Americans and propel them to support another war" while working at another think tank called under the Project for a New American Century.

Another sad fact is this "foundation" is "a tax-exempt, non-profit and non-partisan institution" that claims to not seek to advance any political party or views. They also receive partial funding from the US State Department. Your tax dollars at work.

It's just a coincidence that this group is dominated entirely by Neo-conservative war hawks and spout war propaganda and foreign policy positions based on conjecture and flawed logic. And it's just coincidence that it's members would like to see Ron Paul knocked out of the running for President.

As Doug has been pointing out, Ron Paul's con, really his long con, rivals that of Paul Newman and Robert Redford in "The Sting".

The best con man is one who can use similar versions of the same con again and again with the same mark. I have a new name for this political season: the year of the mark.

Paul's con has worked because of the his supporters naïveté, credulity, and in some people, bigotry. I would venture to say many or even most of them don't care about the plight of the less fortunate. I doubt the majority of his supporters are informed libertarians. My hunch however is that they agree whole heartedly with the first paragraph of the Libertarian Party platform
As Libertarians, we seek a world of liberty; a world in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives and no one is forced to sacrifice his or her values for the benefit of others.
and don't consider or don't care about he consequences to society at large.

The use of the words "forced", "sacrifice" and "values" are crucial and deliberately meant to be loaded here. How different they are from the words in the Preamble to The Constitution.

I believe an advanced society must force (when necessary) the "making" of sacrifices for the benefits of others. This includes the regulation of both individual and corporate behavior.

I value my rights and I value the rights of others. Put another way, I value
justice for all, domestic tranquility, promoting the general welfare, and securing the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity...

Thanks Almandine for reposting this great vidclip showing a bit of which makes America great.

Sometime back you posted it and it was a 'keeper'. : )

Great bluegrass music, along with the ambience of the river...ain't it great! :D

The shufflebutt, pencil-necked, ever-scheming usurpers along the Boston~New York~D.C.~Tel Aviv axis of financial and political evil best take note as to how Americans 'tick'. In the final analysis we don't take sh*t off nobody. We're an independent, enterprising people. Don't tread on us or pay the consequences to such...!

I agree Almandine relative to our current financial perils, but there's a bit of good in the worst of men as well as a bit of bad in the best.

The quote seems spot-on describing what unfettered greed facilitated by men and women of little to no principles or honor for which we now suffer as nation, so too the world. Politics, banking, brokerage, justice or the lack thereof all fall within this continuum of modern era corruption.

It's metastasized into a deadly national/global tumor.

The question is: what's the regimen to possibly precipitate a cure and that's why I feel Dr. Paul's Rx is the best at this time in relation to the extreme challenges that face this nation.

We don't need no stinkin' Hollywood type political personalities, like Obama, Mitt, Newt, Rick et al.; but just a very bright, principled man in the twilight years of his life at the helm to possibly save this nation from a terminal encounter with a financial iceberg. Believe it...!

It's not as grim as you describe Ms. Price. All we have here are shared opinions.

Kinda visualize we're all sitting around the pot belly, coal fired stove in the local hardware store all sharing thoughts and yarns as to whom we think is the best man/woman for the job;I.E., our highest office.

Just as the stove many of us have 'fire in the belly' concerning our opinions, but in the end hopefully we are still friends in thought, still loyal Americans to the core regardless of the stormy seas we are now enduring as a nation. "WE the People" shall prevail...believe it!

Happy New Year 2012 to you and yours dear lady. : )
