Has he been out of politics long enough to recognize the mess the GOP is in? He is a moderate, but will he cave in to the Jesus freaks currently in the list of leaders (I use that term carefully).

There are a lot of California Republicans searching for a moderate member of the GOP who will represent all of us, not just the chosen few Evangelicals. I’m not certain I remember him as being particularly an asset to the Party.
