Headline should have read “Pilots were ready to ram plane”. Both of these pilots were equally brave and prepared to carry out their mission, even if it likely meant their own deaths.

Fortunately for them, some passengers on Flight 93 were equally brave, since they knew how their assault on the cockpit would end.

Lt. Heather Penney couldn’t do anything as long as V.P. Dick Cheney’s orders were to “stand down”…why so? What’s tragic is Dick Cheney is still a free man, pontificating his endless line of bullsh*t rather than doing hard downtime in a Federal prison or worse for his high crimes and misdemeanors in high places.

Too bad, the good lieutenant or Colonel Marc Sasseville didn’t have a surge of that old feeling of “damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead” surge up within their spirits and do what’s necessary, regardless of commands from our feckless leaders at the top such as Cheney. / : |

10 years later one might think we might get a flight recorder or something to prove these things. Could there really be national security concerns a decade later?
