Bachmann’s Iowa win: The tea party’s last gasp?

By DOUG THOMPSON - Capitol Hill Blue

Instead, Americans are revolting against the tea party

The tea party’s celebration of Michelle Bachmann‘s victory in the Iowa straw poll Saturday just may be the fading political movement’s last sip of victory.

A new poll shows the faux grassroots movement continues to fall out of favor with mainstream America.

According to the latest CNN/Opinion Research poll, only 31 percent of Americans have a favorable view of the tea party — a drop of six percent from the previous poll — and 51 percent say they view the group unfavorably.

The poll — taken Aug. 5-7 — matches other public opinion surveys that show voters are increasingly fed up with the tea party’s extremism, particularly in its hard-line stance that brought the debt limit debate to the brink and led to the downgrading of America’s credit rating.

It may be time to turn out the lights. The tea party is over.

The Tea Party will vanish and I’m still waiting for Carl Crawford to hit .300 this season.

Congresswoman Bachmann just stated that she will see to it that “Obama will be beat.” Isn’t the word “beaten” the proper use of the verb? Will we end up sending a grammatically flawed women into the white house?

If you are Tea Party, you are a terrorist. Sarah Palin is a mouthpiece for the Tea Party which represents nothing but hatred and dissension. Her rhetoric and violence-inciting imagery IS a form of terrorism and a prime example. She held Jared Lee Loughner’s hand while he murdered people with his misguided sensibilities. I was compelled to draw a visual commentary showing her handing him the gun on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/01/sarah-palin-made-me-do-it.html She’ll go to any lengths and keep spewing her insanity for that attention (and the money of course.)

    Ignorance is bliss…

Mainstream America wants to be debt slaves?

Mainstream America wants to be forced to buy products and services (Obamacare) they don’t use?

Mainstream America wants endless war for corporate profit?

Maybe the problem is with mainstream America!

      what did you see exercise.

Ever notice that never is mentioned the smell test ?

How did the American people suddenly become olfactory deficient ? S’eilleb krop

Woody, we should not be put in a position to have to choose between Party of Insurance policies issued by the government along with lists of wealth redistribution plans and the other side of the aisle where God speaks to the POTUS and we will be told to pass legislation against our sins.

Neither party understands the Constitution where our Amendments were written to free many Americans from laws such as slavery that has destroyed our own freedoms. I have given up trying to figure out why these GOP candidates believe God is speaking to them through some voodoo occult brain spasms. I have no choice other than to run them out of office. Let them follow Jesus outside the Government.

In other nations, the government often took away the votes of women, gays and African Americans. It took major revolutions from the people to restore the respect of all their people.

Bachmann speaks to the White Supremacy supporters and she does not have the respect for the position of President and she will flounder around on the floor with the Evangelical Fundamentalists and it wouldn’t surprise me if she began dancing with snakes.
