Carl, I have my issues right here in Califoirnia. I never bothered with California schools as I used the private sector just to guarantee the kids got into a good college. My husband located the best prep schools knowing he would never pay tuition when girls were discussed. He had another daughter after JJ was born and she is in and out of drug rehabs and has never been able to get or keep a job. I took full control over my step son and my two girls and they breezed through schools.

Right now as I look at the Democrats running for the Congress I can see some good people running for important positions on civil rights. Once the Separation of church and state is back in control, the problems of the social issues should cool down.

Carl, my age group had a problem when an unwanted pregnancy was discovered. I came close to it when a neigthbor and good friend of mine was raped by her drunken husband and got her pregnant. I drove her to Mexico but they botched it and she bled to death in her own bed the night I brought her home. These abortions should not be the business of anyone. It is a difficult decision to be made by the mother and the hurt never goes away. Men seldom stick around these days and the girl knows she has 18 years of around the clock duty for this fetus. When life was good and jobs secure, it would be possible for a single mother to try and work around the care of her kids. Today it would mean welfare for the first 18 years of an infants life.

"Every day the odds of my voting for Obama get higher and higher." ...extract from post

Why do you have to chronically vote for anyone Ms. Price? School levies, bond issues etc. have merit for proactive input, but why for anyone within this continual stream of a*sclowns that are proffered to the American people?

Hopefully you aren't a voting 'junkie' regardless of the consequences to the nation. I've been one myself, but am now unequivocally convinced that we are doomed regardless of the candidate we might choose. All our votes do is indemnify their activities. The shadowy oligarchs that control this nation lock stock and barrel could care less as to who the duty puppet might be in the White House as long as he/she responds to their paddle jerks.

We're doing horribly under Obama as surely as we will under Thaddeus McCotter, Bachmann, Palin and a host of other crimpol wannabes. Presidents are simply front men/women for the main act which is our criminally disposed duopolist Congress doing 'a job' on "We the people" 24/7/365... / : |

One more religious freak throws his hat in the ring. This means no hope for women choosing the size of her family and no hope for anyone wanting to marry their own sex.

America has fallen into a mess and cannot get up. Every day the odds of my voting for Obama get higher and higher. Who would have ever thought this day would come.......Party affiliation must step down to an ideal agenda. Ray, I would not be bothered about "magical thinking" if it meant equality for all Americans.

I believed in King Arthur for 20 years. I've designed and made more costumes for Merlin than Jesus. The theater is my reality.
