If anyone wants to understand the center agenda of the Mormon faith, may I recommend a book called "Under the Banner of Heaven" by Jon Krakauer. It goes into the new Saints movement to pursue Jesus Christ in a new light. The history of the founders is filled with deceit, murder and rape. I was told that Gov. Romney spent a great deal of time meeting with "The Prophet" who is the leader of the LDS in Salt Lake City. When any member is asked to commit to the faith, it is to the church, not Jesus Christ.

This could explain Romney's hopping back and forth on the issues for his election. The Prophet has the last word and Romney is to follow. My mother went to BYU when Romney's father was there and they are 2nd cousins. I would assume that we are related to most of the students at that university as well as the church members. There is no standard of individuality in this group and I personally do not want to be treated like a sheep.

In order to lead this new form of Conservative action, one has to be made of iron. I seriously doubt that even the RNA wants a Mormon in their leadership.

for a known flip-flopper and whatever flavor of the month you want, he will become, this is not surprising. He's thought of as more liberal than Conservative. But I suspect that if there is no one else when it becomes time to be serious, the gop will prefer Mitt to the current gop focus of hate known as Obama! Mitt is a certifiably able to be groomed establishment yes-man and will do what he is told!
