Um, who is the commander in chief?  Issue the order.  They&#039;re not paid to like it.  Done.

Now, I think he should have done that with the whole &#039;Don&#039;t ask, don&#039;t tell&#039; fiasco long before Congress got involved, along the lines of how Truman integrated the army - He ordered it done, and any officer who had a problem with that could have their resignations on his desk in the morning.

I don&#039;t see that from Obama, however.  Pity.
