The entire 'war on terror' no different than the failed 'war on drugs' is simply a canard to allow the government to grow its surveillance network over the people.

Griff's link material 'Just keeping us safe' is testament to this ever-growing threat to our physical freedom.

There's a growing number of citizens that are aware of this statist creep, but the vast majority of citizens are just struggling to make ends meet and don't have the time nor interest to focus on what's happening to them until it's too late. The same happened to the citizens of Germany during Hitler's rise to absolute power. It's happening here too now.

Why aren't our elected reps voicing major concerns over the seemingly out of control growth of Homeland Security and the methods used by it and it's subsidiary agencies such as TSA et al. There doesn't seem to be any serious legislation to curtail this deadly, freedom destroying nonsense. What these foolish 'reps' don't realize is that if martial law is declared even their lofty positions won't save them from being rounded up themselves. They've foolishly sown the wind, but so too will the reap the mighty whirlwind of a high tech police state run amok.

Why the silence on their part. The reason is that they look upon us, the citizens, as the enemy and a possible threat to their livelihood; now seemingly incumbents for life in our now devolved Congress that's simply become a hand-clapping, simpish politburo, both parties united in a mission to crush dissent and to put fear into the populace.

The people need to relentlessly put pressure on their Congressional District Reps and their Senators to shut this monster down or for them to pay the supreme price in two years. Will it happen, most likely not. It's probably too late now to turn about due the fact that the forces to trigger martial law are too great; ie., national insolvency, state government failures, banking failures, pension failures, Social Security and Medicare a bust etc along with inflation to hyperinflation stalking this nation due to Bernanke's 'legal' counterfeiting schemes such as QE1, QE2 and no doubt as many future QE's to hopefully pay off our debt in ever cheaper dollars and to keep our financial paradigm going for a bit longer.

Bloomberg quoted...

So what’s going on with our world today? Bloomberg News says, “Earthquakes, heat waves, floods, volcanoes, super typhoons, blizzards, landslides, and droughts killed at least a quarter million people in 2010—the deadliest year in more than a generation. More people were killed worldwide by natural disasters this year than have been killed in terrorism attacks in the past 40 years combined.”

Thanks Woody for the link. I've listened to the Colonel North hearing clip before.

What amazes is how a guy like Daniel Inouye, Senator from Hawaii, now 86 and President Pro-Tem of the Senate, third in line for succession to the presidency in the event of a major catastrophe, who also has a sterling record in the defense of this country would be so eager to censor a question like this to Colonel North, aka as John Cathey, his CIA operational name when interfacing with the Clinton's during the mid to late 80's during the Iran-Contra debacle.

Bill Clinton, then governor of Arkansas allowed "The Company" to build an illegal airbase in Mena, Arkansas that was used to transport weapons, cash, and drugs between Central America and CONUS. The CIA is not chartered to operate within CONUS. North in his role as Cathey promised the Clinton's that the 'big man'; ie, H.W. Bush promised them they would go far in politics for playing ball. The rest is history. Of course Colonel North was being puppeteered by H.W. Bush and Admiral Poindexter, who basically a good Marine lost his steerage concerning an appropriate defense of this nation rather than allowing himself to get involved with activities that were tantamount to criminality in high places.

All of my allegations can be referenced in the book "Compromised: Clinton, Bush and the CIA...How the Presidency was Co-opted by the CIA." It's probably one of the best sources that will explain just about how everything that's happened to this nation since the Reagan/H.W. Bush era including the 9/11 false flag op. The book is available on Amazon.com and is a great read too. Not boring in the least. As it' said, "the truth shall set you free".

 http://www.amazon.com/Compromised-Clinton-Bush-Terry-Reed/dp/product-description/1561712493

So too it's amazing that so many soldiers would be willing to come back to CONUS and shoot their fellow citizens down like those in the Middle Eastern theater of combat. I guess a paycheck, some steady rations and the ability to take care of one's family is more important than allegiance to Constitutional principles for which they took an oath to defend and protect against all enemies both foreign and "domestic". Our domestic enemies aren't John and Mary Q. Citizen, but the usurpers at the highest levels of our government that controls said military functions. They'll be doing roundups, unfortunately they are pointed in the wrong direction and rounding up the wrong people.

There's one thing that the mattoids running this nation haven't countenanced; that being, if they declare martial law they risk collapsing the entire world's marketplaces and economies. FEMA couldn't even handle the post hurricane Katrina debacle much less slapping an entire nation in irons. The U.S. is still like a beacon of hope to most people on the planet, not the Chinese, the Eurozone etc. We're also a nation of prime consumers that makes martial law, if executed in a flippant fashion will virtually destroy the perps and their ill-gotten fortunes in the process in terms of the U.S. being a valued "asset class" that is transcendental to simply the maintenance of a money system and markets.

Wishing Happy New Year 2011 to you and yours Woody. : )

They've been interrogating me nonstop during my confinement in their 'Red Line" brig at Quantico. They tried to soften me up with sapper gloves, but I've got abs like a conveyor belt and a solid back to boot.

They've put a cotton bag over my head, tied it off and keep pouring fluoridated water on it. It's not the water, but the damn fluoride that's getting me addled, but I have resolve to say the least.

These jarheads have run across a tough ol' seadog and little realize they'll never find out where I got the unauthorized head. Fug'em and the seahorse they rode in on... : |

Newsflush: Washuppity Post.

Doug Thompson fell out of his bed early Christmas morning.

Thompson was wearing a pair of silk spiderman pyjamas, batman wooly bed socks and a micky mouse nightcap at the time of his arrest. A rather stained edition of the Xmas 1967 edition of Popular Mechanics was found close by.

After intensive invesigations undertaken by the NIS, CIA, DHS, TSA, MI5, 6, 7 and 8, Mossad and Alfred E. Newman it was concluded that Mr Thompson's bed was in breach of the Bed Safety Act 2010 therefore he was charged and detained under the act.

The offending bed has been confiscated and will be immediately executed as required by the act.

Mr Thompson will remain in custody until his trial which is scheduled to begin on 29th February 3011.

Mr Thompson's lawyer, Carl Nemo, was heard protesting his client's innocence, claiming Mr Thompson had not fallen out of bed, rather he had to roll out of his bed owing to a bad back. It is highly unlikely such a hyperbolic defense will save Mr Thompson from being convicted - should he live long enough to attend his trial.

Mr Thompson is currently being held in custody somewhere hot and humid and it has been reported he looks extemely content dressed in orange and insists on sleeping standing up, while listening to the best of Tiny Tim over and over and over again.

Mr Thompson has been the 77,009th citizen to be held in custody under the act since its introduction 3 weeks ago.

When President Obama was interviewed regarding this latest crime wave and what he should do about it he replied:

"I think we should seriously consider making silk pyjamas, wooly bed socks and night caps a crime."
