It is claimed that the girls were dismissed from the school in October after they refused to remove bracelets reading “I (Heart) Boobies!”
District administrators have gainsaid that the word is sloppy and vulgar and is certainly inappropriate for middle school goers. However, on the other side Brianna Hawk, 13, and Kayla Martinez, 12, backed by the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania, discerns the word to be completely harmless.
In addition, it underlines that the district is actually exaggerating.
The Thursday hearing witnessed in the U. S. court witnessed the school district lawyer urging for the suspension of the girls, Brianna Hawk and Kayla Martinez, if they don’t stop flaunting the bracelets as fashion accessory.
“Ever since I got that bracelet I’ve been researching breast cancer”, the seventh-grader was quoted as saying. “Anybody that gets this disease … could die from it. It’s very tragic”.
