Don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord split you

Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert is planning to leave Congress before his current term expires.

About time.

Hastert, with his multiple chins spilling over his too-tight dress shirt collar and his expanding girth overflowing any seat that groaned under the weight, was the perfect symbol for the bloated excess of the Republican Congress.

Time for him to return to Illinois and fade into well-deserved obscurity.

GOP sources: Hastert won't serve out his termFormer House Speaker Dennis Hastert will resign his congressional seat rather than serve out the rest of his term, two GOP congressional sources told CNN.

C’mon, Doug! Hastert’s size has nothing to do with his politics. There are all kinds of examples available of how poorly he served this country as Speaker of the House.

Resorting to personal attacks puts you on the level of a schoolyard bully and demeans your point.

::: cue Freddie Mercury and Queen :::

    Another one bites the dust,
    Another one bites the dust,
Another one bites, Another one bites,
    Another one bites the dust!

Keep that revolving door out of Congress going Repubs — you’re doing a helluva job!

This makes me wonder what’s about to break – Long time, entrenched GOPers fleeing the ship like rats – can’t wait till they start doing a ‘general’ and write their memoir about how wrong Bush was and they always really knew it.

There’s no hell hot enough for these hypocrites.
