Lots of these fisherman and tourist shops are small business guys and they won’t recover for a couple of decade if ever. BP is likely to get taken over by another company that will claim no responsibility for the spill. The band keeps playing while the Titanic sinks.

Joe Barton was right… the $20B is a shakedown to make the big O look good, but it is far outside the legal system we have inherited for over 2 centuries. Obummer is sole prosecutor, judge, and jury on this one – and while it may make one feel good that those poor folks on the coast are getting “govt help”, it is a sad day for American jurisprudence.
