This is getting disgraceful. The lower eastern seaboard has been wiped out for the next 50 years or so. I was in AK when the Valdez hit the rocks of the coast of Cordova. 3 months later, in Sand Point we were throwing Salmon away because of crude on them. We’ll be seeing the destruction from this for a long time.

It is truly sickening Woody seeing that photo of what appears to be a segull just caked with crude oil. I grieve for the wildlife. I am disgusted by the BP CEO, Tony Hayward, who stated, ” I want to get my life back”….Well Duh Tony, what do you think the shrimpers, crabbers, and fishermen are saying and they don’t have the luxury of your golden parachutes to fall back on. If the wildlife could speak Tony they’d tell you stick your head in your keester

Seems more like our Federal government is in collusion with BP to do nothing. According to ABC: BP and Feds Withheld Videos Showing Massive Scope of Oil Spill And to top it all off with more outrage: BP will make good on $10 billion in profit payouts to shareholders, giving shareholders many times more than what they are paying fish and tourist companies that have lost their livelihoods.

Yet there may be little the government can actually do to solve the problem. Oil spill experts say the feds lack the experience or resources to actually shop the millions of gallons of oil spewing from a rupture a mile deep in the Gulf.

They could threaten to pull all of BP’s drilling and piping contracts until the spill is cleaned up. They could force BP to allow others in from the oil industry and academia to help solve the problem. BP is in way over it’s head and it isn’t getting any better. Time to let outsiders help.

In the meantime, boycott BP products. Hit ‘em where it hurts and keep hurting them until the problem is solved.
