The US Military has usually been well ahead of the curve when it comes to removing discriminatory practices in the ranks.

However, I'm shocked and saddened that it has taken our military this long to get rid of such a blatant scourge on our Service. Indeed, most other western military services go rid of all this horrifically discriminatory nonsense DECADES ago.

And while it now appears that our resident homophobes have lost yet another battle in their bigoted war against homosexuals, I can't help but remain angry over the number of absolutely excellent people that have been forced out of the Service over the years because of such systemically discriminatory foolishness.

I wonder if there is a provision in the bill that would now allow those persons so discredited to once again proudly serve their nation? If not, there certainly should be.
