The real problem is getting money out of politics. During campaigns television networks, radio stations and internet providers should be required to give free blocks of time to candidates all at the same time. If all TV channels, radio stations, and web providers carried 30 minutes of debate three times a week at the same time no one could turn to something more entertaining but less important. Also, candidates should be forbidden from mentioning their opponents mistakes and must focus on how they will solve problems.

It seems as though after 9-11, the country has been heading on a downward spiral. After 2 ongoing wars, the real estate crash, the stock market crash, the 401K crash, morale is exhausted. And the country’s moral compass is shattered. Public corruption is epidemic. A 25 year veteran of a police force in NJ is caught sending pictures of his genitals to someone he thinks is a 13 year old girl, on a police dept. computer, no less. Michael Vick, murderer of dogs, is invited to appear Virgina Tech, and people line up to pay $30 for his autograph, and no one shows up to protest. Obesity is epidemic. Go ahead little Johnny and Susie, stuff your faces and sit in front of your laptop all day, play violent games, surf porn, chat it up with pedophiles. Your parents won’t mind, they are too busy looking for a job they won’t find, hiding from the mortgage company, or having an affair.

It seems as though the entire country is saying “I give up.”

Instead of defending or out-rancoring anyone re: the subject, I’d simply agree,

“America is a massive, monumental failure”

Putting patriotism and emotion aside, (too much emotion, not enough thought) if we ever expect anything better, the way to “Hope” is to:
#1 take Doug’s rant as a outline to define what is wrong…
#2 further define the failures, not in generalities, but specifics
#3 go item by item with solutions: Laws, people, exposure, public support,
votes, demonstrations, civil disobedience… whatever it takes to correct the failures.
#4 join in to create the new paradigm. To recreate in the framework of today’s society, the new rules… the new laws, the new American ideal.

We are all exposed to extremes… Socialism, Communism, Pacifism, Fascism and ,any more… and despite the parts of the “ism” that we don’t like, a reading of each philosophy shows important truths that could be brought into a plan for improvement.

It really is time to take the blinders off, and to consider something other than “tweaking” the massive failure that is bringing our country down. Instead of pecking at the “other side”… it’s time for the thinking people to join in a reconstruction of America.

The new means of controlling the people, is to divide and conquer. To keep us so busy in a pecking contest that we don’t see what is happening at the core of Government.

It wasn’t Obama… and it may not be a single person… but nothing good will happen until we start listening, and thinking. And then coming together to use
a common plan to fix the broken pieces.

Actually America was okay till 11/22/63. What is a failure is Fascism. It became a failure because

1) The Fourth Reich shipped our jobs away
2) W put it ion steroids

Yes, the courts would be filled to overflowing
(at least at first), but that is a minor problem
compared to the one it would resolve.
Given the “pro- big government” mentality of most
of the law profession, it might be best to setup
a seperate court for politician’s constitutional
cases or something along those lines…something
highly televised/monitored to prevent the obvious.
Or maybe not…that’s something for those better
acquainted with the law profession to look at.

That being said, when politicians actually have
immediate consequences to face when they deliberately
propose/vote for unConstitutional legislation (consequences
like hard time vs being voted out at the next election
and having to move to a corporate/lobby job early),
you’d see a quick change in the way that they do
business.
Of course, once anything that’s un-Constitutional
is thrown out, the truth is that it wouldn’t leave
much for them to do at all…..

Bottom line: they aren’t going to give up the gravy train
until they’re forced to. As long as the consequences of
their treason goes unpunished, they’ll just keep doing
it. Hoping for anything else is just fantasy on our part.

What has to happen is the deicide of two of the most despicable sub-humans that ever walked this planet, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.. The Faux Christians that provided the votes for The Reagan Revolution have to realize that what he was really selling was Fascism which is the exact opposite of the teachings of their Savior. Jesus said take from the rich and give to the poor. Reagan said take from the poor and give to the rich and made up a theory to appease the gullible and ignorant called trickle down. And the treasury was not enough for Reagan , he had to turn us into the largest debtor nation.
