IF California and Arizona are going broke catering to illegal aliens (which I do not believe is true) then they need to stop doing that. Or else they need to recognize that they want to do that and are therefore willing to pay for it. Local solutions for local problems.

"BofA gives credit cards." Paris Hilton gives good * ** * *. Just how does either one have any impact on our paying through the nose for "people doing jobs Americans won't do."

"Illegal voting in Az occurs regularly."

I do not believe this. Certainly there are always going to be a few people who register to vote illegally, but as a trend or a problem? I don't think so.

On the contrary, it might well be that the reason for this new law in Arizona is to scare off legal voters:

http://www.disinfo.com/2010/04/is-voter-suppression-behind-arizonas-anti-illegal-immigration-law/

But I do not think you will be able to show me any reputable information that shows that there is a significant problem with illegal voters in Arizona or anywhere else in the US for that matter.

It's a pretty good rule of thumb that illegal aliens in the US want to remain out of sight and out of mind. The most certain way for them to pop up into view is to register to vote. Only a really dumb alien is gonna do that, and the street smarts of the average Hispanic alien in the US is way up there. They KNOW how to survive.

But I will be glad to look at any credible information you have to the contrary. So far I haven't seen any.

Of course Hispanics are going to be angry about being denied entry in the US.
Lucky for them, Congress is keeping the borders wide-open.

Who suffers? As always ... the US populace.

I know Woody, but I'm "tight as a drum" and have an aversion to pitching out equipment that's still functional unless the cost vs. benefit makes sense. My PUD supplies cheap power compared to the rest of the nation and contrary to belief, power cannot be saved from the grid unless it's stored in batteries.

Also my favorite cat likes to sit up on the computer desk and give me inspiration as I write. I can see the big guy somehow turning over a lightweight monitor. He yawns if the material is mediocre, gives me a bury the scat routine when it doesn't pass muster and a double blink when it's OK by his superb kittirary standards. : D

So it was a cut-and-paste email... BFD.

It was just to make the point that US citizens pay thru the nose for "people doing jobs Americans won't do".

Your reply is mostly based on federal largesse or lack thereof. Many state govts (Cal and Az in particular) are going broke providing such services. BoA gives credit cards.

1. What reliable source? If you look around on the web you find three or four different stories about the origin of the picture, including one that says the police took it. No one is coming forth to take credit for it. If the police had taken the picture don't you think they would have come forward proudly to show it off? And if that guy REALLY had that sign at that rally don't you think there would have been ten or twelve other pictures of it?

2. As to the "pro-illegal immigrant riot" to which you referred. Bull s--t. May 1 is the anarchists' day to break bad in the streets. It has nothing to do with the issue of illegal immigration. It's all about "F*** the system." You know that. You are ignoring that because it does not fit in with what you want us to believe, namely that the mainstream media is feeding us a line of bull.

Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Take a loot at the arrestees. OH MY GOD! They are all white! They all have non-Hispanic names. These illegal immigrants are getting so good they are changing not only their names but their skin colors. DOOMED! We are all DOOMED!

I am not ignoring the big lie, Woody. I am exposing it.

My point was that it is evenly dithered across the image which indicates it is legitimate. I can see the different colored paper where it overlaps on the sign on my 21.5" iMac. I couldn't see it as well on my 15" Toshiba laptop running Windows XP.

You are right. It does not really matter. Killing cops would only work against illegal immigrants in the long run. That fellow may not even know what the sign says. One of his buddies might be messing with him. We hardly ever know what really goes on in this world.
