When someone displays such horrid viciousness in his actions as Michael Vick, I don’t believe he deserves one more minute of limelight. Not only that, but the charity should refuse funds procured from a man who is signing autographs for money and whose true claim to fame comes from his brutality. The whole affair is so detestable as to be vomit-inducing.

Doug, I have lurked here for many years and I don’t always agree with you, but you have it quite right this time.

Oh, silly me, I forgot this was an opinion piece.

Vick is a Hokie and as a member of such a community, let him live his life! We all know what he did was wrong, but what else do you want from him? Hello, Tiger Woods?

I agree with griff and Local Guy. Despite his troubles, he’s a Hokie through and through, and gave us his greatest years at Tech. If we can support any other Hokie, we can support him.

That report is current speculation by the manager of the Tech bookstore and not anything official from Vick or his “management company.”

According to the manager of the Tech bookstore, Vick “may” donate “part” of his proceeds to the Montgomery County Humane Society but admitted that he is “just speculating.”

I suggest you try doing a little research of your own before you make a fool of yourself.

Being an animal lover, words can not describe my feelings concerning Vick’s crimes.

That being said, Vick has also pled guilty to the charges, did time in prison (paid his debt to society), lost significant amounts of money and lost precious years of playing time in the prime of his career. He is also a graduate of Virginia Tech.

I think he should be allowed to get on with his life and what’s left of his career. He’ll take his lumps, as he inevitably will, but I don’t think any one should bar him from appearing at his alma mater, or from doing any thing else that is not illegal. Such as selling autographs.

Let go of the anger and put forgiveness in your heart. I am a dog lover and a Hokie fan and I will welcome Michael Vick back to Blacksburg with open arms.
