And Leiberman wonders why Domestic Terrorism is on the rise?

These religious nutjobs are spreading and they are just as agressive in their endeavours as the non-religious are to fight it. By the way, Texas is not the first fruitcake state, Utah has been wacked out for far longer and has a long history of re-writing the books to preach the "approved" word.

Not nearly enough practice, Lisa. And those other states? I talked to a Mexican who went to Louisiana and farther east, and asked him if he met anyone who could speak his language. "Nadie!!!!" (Nobody.)

Now, by way of introduction, my ex is Mexican, my sons half-Hispanic. I am NOT a racist, but I am a responsible American who loves his country and is committed to honor it. This slur about Texas' educational system might have to be answered, though. Not to say that there is no such thing as racism here in Texas, btw. But if you are at all sane you will have to admit that there is a heap of racism South of the border as well, and it is directed at us gringos. I hope you are really honest enough to deplore racism wherever you find it????

Anyway, back to the wall against the illegals which you seem to find counterproductive to your personal agenda. One thing we need to recognize first is that we are talking about keeping Mexico's rejects out. I mean think about it. If we try to send them back or keep them from getting in by felony entry and identity theft the Presidente of Mexico screams like an electrocuted puerco! (Pig)

"No!!! We don't want them! You keep them!! Fuchile!" (Yuk)

But should we try to attract Mexico's hard-working, Mexico's honest and law abiding, Mexico's educated and productive, Mexico's respectful of others' rights, then see what el Pres. says:

Pinches gringos banditos! They want to steal all our talent and leave us with NADA!

My only wish is that there be some poetic justice in this world whereby the ones who want to drag this country down into the third-world sewer also be on the receiving end of same.

All I can say about this is that students from Texas, if attending colleges in other states, may have to spend extra semesters taking remedial classes because their education will not meet acceptable standards. The other possibility is that Texas can secede from the union, and perhaps this is a step in that direction. We would of course have to build a new wall along the Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico border to keep out the illegal Texas immigrants, but we have quite a bit of practice now.

I thought Jefferson and Franklin were already mostly removed from our books replaced by more on Washington, Lincoln, and Kennedy?

Conservatives always hated Franklin's love of France and women. And Jefferson's ideas of liberty, individualism, and republicanism are considered too dangerous to teach by today's plutocracy that demands conformity and obedience without question.

If we all agree this is happening, why is it so hard to believe that Conservatives in power at the time re-wrote what really happened during the attacks of 9/11 to fit their views that Muslim extremists were to blame?

Although the Texas State School Board members are elected. Whenever a member retires from the board, the Gov, and in this case Perry can appoint. That's exactly what he did. He appoints anti-evolution religious fundamentalist.

We've got a hell of a mess with religious wacknuts in Texas...and especially inside our government. May common sense, reason, and logic have mercy on us all.
