I'll go one further and forcast that not only will a recession return, but a depression as well! While I supported Obama with a little spending to keep the economy somewhat stable, I think our government has simply gone way too far.

Instead of keeping the economy stable, Obama is now doing nothing more than duplicating the failed Republican ideology of spending massive amounts of borrewed money with only negligable gain. That's exactly what got us into this mess under bush and Reagan.

The economy is only minimally better than 1.5 years ago, and the spending of borrowed money can't continue for long. When it does stop, our economy will crash much harder and farther than it would have 2 years ago. I continue to try and prepare myself for the inevitable pain!

While unemployment will remain near 10 percent into next year, the economic mood of the country — perhaps the biggest driver for voters — should begin improving as job-creation numbers tick up.
There is actually no evidence that job-creation numbers are going to go up. What's the point of taking a long view if that long view isn't based in reality?
