Maybe after the disgrace of a government we have now after the last election people will wake up and realize that we need better candidates than a bunch of fork-tongued, fast-talking snake oil salespersons.

It’s long past time to demand minimum requirements to hold office, including drug screeing before swearing in and radomly thereafter (like the rest of us have to do for even a minimum wage job), a psychological exam, in-depth knowlege of our Constitution, and some form of business acumen, to name a few. Our founders are probably rolling in their graves over what has become of government now.
