Amen brother. I wouldn't ante up and die for the United Corporations of America (UCA). Especially when Xe (formerly Blackwater) would pay me a six-figure salary versus the paltry E1 Private $13,809.60 per year the UCA Army pays.

This is nothing new.

I joined the USMC in 86, and served until 90. Then they recalled me for three months in '91.

Finally out, certain not to return, I enrolled in a Business College. When the VA didn't make with the funds that they'd spent a year payroll deducting me for, I left. I assumed the college screwed up the paperwork and moved to another city for a job. While there I enrolled in another college and went through a semester, waiting for reembursement for tuition. Nothing.

I called the VA. Guess what? They had 'lost' my paperwork. So I resubmitted.

Guess what?

They 'lost' it again.

After the third time they 'lost' it, I gave up. The VA is a joke, the military is a box of tools, and all in all the system reflects the perfectly fvcked up country that the US is.

Leave it to the VA to be woefully unprepared to do it's job. One person could manually write the checks with a BIC pen faster than 1200 people working at the VA and their crappy computer system. And we're about to hand health care over to this same government?

How long until your doctor tells you he is withholding treatment due to waiting for the government's transfer payment?
