Well, THAT was informative as to just who supports Sarah Palin. These people sit at home watching FOXNews like the monkeys disocvering the monolith and then they 'think" they are thinking for themselves. I also found ti intersting that NONE of these stooges could articulate any policy or any real freedom that was under attack What a bunch of sheep.

As they say around the Texas Legislature, if you can't drink their whiskey, screw their women, take their money, and vote against 'em anyway, you don't belong in office.-Molly Ivins

No different than Democrats. There were plenty of man-on-the-street interviews to be seen last election illustrating the overall idiocy of our electorate at large.

Yep , and we're screwed . Once they were able to turn the News media into a combination of infotainment and propaganda the handwriting was on the wall . As many of us remember , before the removal of the rules ( Fairness Doctrine ) the news had to be independent and run as a public service to maintain a broadcast license . Now that the rules have been trashed plus the advent of both cable and internet which allows anyone to choose their own reality , confusion and misinformation reins . While that certainly isn't the only issue threatening our democracy , corporate power , campaign finance and a willfully uninformed electorate weigh heavily in our decline also , it was a keystone that fortold of things to come . You simply cannot have a functioning democracy with a misinformed , illinformed population . Our forfathers understood that , but so do our would be corporate masters .

You mean people like James Madison?

"A popular Government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a Prologue to a Farce or a Tragedy; or, perhaps both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance: And a people who mean to be their own Governors, must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives."

I'd say we have both a tragedy and a farce.

These people deserve whatever government they should get...period!

I'll have no sympathy for them once the jaws of in your face despotism slams shut about their chicken-headed necks!

People need to study the Gaussian Bell curve demonstrating the distribution of intelligence throughout a population. Drop a Y-axis line down to the x-axis to the zero origin and you'll instantly see that 150 million plus people are below "average" intelligence to the left and even as we march up the plus side of the x-axis towards stellar genius level, it still includes a vast number of gullbile, educated idiots who don't have a clue as to history and details of their American heritage.

As far fetched as it sounds today, I could see someone like Palin making it to the presidency. Hey, why not!? / : |

We're friggin' doomed...!

Even my wife and I had a "chicken-head" moment by voting for Obama... :-& . We're thinking of bequeathing our mortal remains to Tyson the poultry processor... : - ?

Carl Nemo **==

I would say " tragedy and farce " is a rather succinct description of both the place we are in and the track we are on . As one watches the numbnuts that support Palin , the tea partiers , Beck , Limbaugh , their ilks followers and of course Fox news devotees and on and on . It's truly difficult to see a way out of this dark place we've been led into by a series of corporate sponsored Judas goats . It seems every time one believes there is a light at the end of the tunnel it's yet another oncoming train . I would say the founding fathers words were rife with warnings about just such a situation we now face . From your Madison quote to Franklin's statement about sacrificing freedom for security to Jefferson's warning about banks being more dangerous than standing armys ,they understood the pitfalls to democracy we have mindlessly blundered into . You can't say we weren't warned but apparently to no avail . I didn't even mention the words of our presidents from FDR to Ikes " cross of iron " , the fact we are where we are is certainly mindboggling .

I was upset by the first few comments but by the middle of the clip some of the folks were able to form complete sentences and a couple actually made sense. Though overall it's a pretty sad representation of where I live in Columbus, Ohio. Looks like they were at the Borders at Easton.

They sound a lot like the Obama fans...most of the diehard Obama fans didn't talk about his policies, only about how he was "awesome" and "cool" and stood for "hope and change".

Apparently they were just passing by. Perhaps there was free mental health screenings nearby? I highly doubt any one that actually reads books could come up with these answers.
