When will we ever learn that the "Republicrats" are simply two factions of the same "country club"?

Right Keith. What a time this would be to introduced a third movement. Money is the password in D.C. and I fear it always will be.

Do we have to destroy the Republicrats before any chance of saving our jobs and health programs is possible?

I keep thinking back on the Roman Senate who had complete control over the people. One Senator goes down and the pile on for his financial support replacement fills in like water on sand.

If we are stuck a single party with two names, is there any possible way to ask, plead, demand that they play by the rules?

This ship never should have been boarded in the first place. Independents should have voted third party as a show of force and discontent, but apparently they belived this charlatan.

And the cycle continues...

Unfortunately, Sandy, third party candidates in this country never seem to see the light of day. That's because the "Republicrats" ALSO control the mainstream media. And those "Republicrats" have been very busy over the last 50 years slowly addicting us to being "entertained" vice being "informed".

The result is that we Americans are now FAR more concerned about who the next American Idol will be rather than who our next President, Senator or Congressperson will be.

Indeed, when so-called “news” becomes how Katie Couric’s debut on CBS was received, or when a movement to draft Oprah Winfrey for President actually gained a following, to me, these were clear signs that our once proud Republic is headed straight for the crapper.

By any measure, we have now turned into a nation of largely ignorant couch potatoes whose overriding concern in life is whether or not we’ll have enough money left over from our next welfare check to pay for our beer and cigarettes.

Our most popular television programs these days consist of mindless sitcoms, and of air-headed, low-life husbands and wives hitting each other. These shows are then followed up by so-called “news” programs, where a bunch of talking heads argue endlessly among themselves about issues that mainstream America couldn’t care less about because they are far too ignorant to even have the faintest clue as to the real meaning of what’s being discussed.

Even the cable weather channels can’t simply present the weather any more…. they now have to resort to “entertainment” just to keep an audience.

Indeed, these days, it’s all about being “entertained”…just don't attempt to disturb our collective ignorance with something of real substance that might require us to actually (gasp!) THINK!

When they wrote our Constitution, our Founding Fathers guaranteed us freedom of the press. They did NOT, however, guarantee the ACCURACY of that press. That's because they also assumed we would all possess enough common sense to be able to sort truth from lies. Unfortunately, it has since become painfully apparent that we, as a nation, are now so horrifically ignorant that we can no longer tell the difference between truths and lies (or between "news" and "entertainment").

As we have been peddling little more than sloth and ignorance in this nation for decades and passing it off as “education”, it seems to me we now have absolutely NOBODY to blame for that horrifically entranced ignorance but ourselves.

Gents, you are both right! Is this not why we are here at CHB? The partisan bullshit has been deleted for the most part and griff, I have voted third party since 1992. I have driven Reader Rant crazy with my third party stuff. Hell, I wouldn't have me back there for a minute either.

We know the problems, and we know how, who and why.

What now?

Hey Sandra, you know I think she's "hotttt"...:D

Now are you going to slap me happier?! ; )

The whole point is that both the Democrats and Republicans are non viable if we are to have any hope of saving the Republic along with its citizens.

If myself, you and others continue with this pendulum type voting either R or D, they will continue to trap us in their engineered downward spiral into globalist hell on earth which is what they've been working hand in hand to accomplish and have been so since 1913 when both the Federal Reserve and Federal income tax were forced down our collective throats. If one reads the origins and history of both these pieces of legislation one will realize in short order that it took both parties working together to force these pieces of legislation through without any serious opposition.

Yeah the RR seems to be pretty entrenched in the paradigm. I'm afraid the only way that people will start thinking outside the box is when it's aflame, if even then.

Carl, I'm all for a third party. I had hoped the GOP might come to its senses and settle into a viable party. Saving the Republic must be our priority. I have grown up realizing my GOP was all fraud and false promises. I saw the truth with Bush 41 and never again went with the GOP.

Cleopatra was hot too and she lost Egypt over her love affairs. Cleo was educated, spoke 7 languages and had a flair for being an independent. The nice part about living a life of love affairs is the wonderful memories one has when it is all over.

Palin will live a life of guilt rather than a life of fabulous memories.
