But this is our national cause, Carl. American full-spectrum global dominance.

American Empire!

"I have ever deemed it fundamental for the United States never to take active part in the quarrels of Europe. Their political interests are entirely distinct from ours. Their mutual jealousies, their balance of power, their complicated alliances, their forms and principles of government, are all foreign to us. They are nations of eternal war. All their energies are expended in the destruction of the labor, property and lives of their people." - Thomas Jefferson

Nice rant Carl -

On January 19, 2008, in one of my early blogs here I was musing about the rhetoric vs the reality of what CHB'ers were up to. As I recall, I had action on my mind.

My question then was: "Is this all [just]existential crap?"

Glad to see your call to action, let's hope the bow of this Titanic hasn't plunged beneath the white caps yet. My fear, though, is the inaction of those who cling to the notion that our once-great country remains so, that all we need to DO is trust in the status quo.

Thanks to both of you for your supportive feedback.

This news that Karzai's brother is on the CIA payroll turned my blood to icewater for the second time in a week. The first was reading the eight page article by Mat Taibbi a Rolling Stone contributor concerning "naked" short selling and our government officials' complicity in destroying Lehmann Brothers, Bear Stearns et al.!?

What sorry, evil sob's we have for leaders in these trying, quite possibly "end times" for our Republic.

If we go back to the Nixon Watergate era, although protracted, the scandal finally forced "tricky Dick" out of office. There was genuine public outrage with a price to be paid!

In our times it seems nothing is too outrageous for us to endure. There is no justice, or even worse, any "interest" in the same. It seems Thrasymachus was right, a character in Plato's Republic..."justice is the advantage of the stronger" and that "injustice, if it is on a large enough scale, is stronger, freer, and more masterly than justice'"...Thrasymachus, extract from the "The Republic" 380 BCE.

Couldn't have said it better or more succinctly myself.

In fact, the more outrageous, the easier to swallow - except for reality, that is.

Reality takes a back seat to feel-good rhetoric and partisan shepherding.

Stick around Ladies and Gentlemen, just don't try to touch the puzzle pieces that you've placed in eternal incumbency.
PS. Lets get jiggly with the table as that it's nothing other than our backs to the few at the one table so greedily aged.
Face forward, head up,
it all comes at one speed, the light that is.
If your not a Veteran we don't care, 2012-2??? the question is still there. "Is this a social psychodrama", Omen?
Who or what generation is next on the menu and if you are that far removed from the fight,
move,
Honor, Duty, Country is taking over..ALLONS
