I think it's because a lot of us no longer buy the bin Ladin fear mongering and we don't want to offend you or beat a dead horse. That and few want to admit that Afghanistan was lost the moment we invaded. USA USA USA!

The blogs at CapitolHillBlue are no longer on the front page only listed, by title at the bottom left corner

Elsewhere people who believe bin Laden has been used as a scapegoat articulate their point,
http://seminal.firedoglake.com/diary/10214#comments

China doesn't seem to be happy about al Qaeda, but of course it is I guess conceivable that someone pretending to be al Qaeda is messing with China,
http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1929388,00.html/

Woody, you and I need a better way to communicate with each other.

If someone is pretending to be al Qaeda why are they making statements designed to make Americans mad at Isreal?

The blogs were temporarily on a list because the new templates I used as part of the redesign starting causing problems with site performance and I had to shut everything down and restore the old templates.

I wish you guys would ask before you start whining. It's not easy keeping this site up and running.

Our old buddy Binno is a Mona Lisa Richard. We know who did the painting we just can't get to the bottom of the models true identity and purpose beyond that of a boogie/straw man, and that's the way our shadowy leaders want it...

Doug,

Unlike myself over on Hal's "Ten Reasons" thread, I don't think RKPA was whining, but just making a comment regarding the blog placement.

Woody I want to talk to you, not at you.

I tend to agree with those who claim Obama critics are closed-minded, bigoted, and/or a victim of false propaganda. However, I admire Huckabee’s statement about a home being a castle when Huckabee defended the black professor who was huffy after he was mistaken for burglar entering his own home. So I can't see Huckabee's statements as mindless when he discusses Obama, but insightful when it comes to police misconduct.

I never saw but others say bin Laden made a belated statement that he never claimed to have attacked the US on 9/11, that the earlier video was a fake.

However bin Laden's statements, whether they are all really from him almost always divide into two categories. Some telling Muslims to be angry at the US not Israel. I haven’t been able to re-google the statement about Israel being the dog’s tail, but it fits in with the comments bin Laden or some say at times bin Laden look a likes directs at Muslims. Other statements are to Americans telling the American people to be mad at Israel and the Jews. Why would any Mossad CIA, Cheney agent spread somewhat persuasive material trying to convince Americans to be mad at the Jews?

Remember Zacarias Moussaoui the accused “12th” 9/11 hijacker tried to convince Americans to be mad at the Jews as he lashed out against his Jewish lawyer? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zacarias_Moussaoui

No matter what the US or Israel might have done wrong, al Qaeda seems to me to be their own very clever masters, manipulating public opinion more successfully then many governments do. Obviously to me bankrupting ourselves or allowing people to package fighting bin Laden with various anti-Muslim causes was bad news. But Woody I wish you would stop considering bin Laden a little more than a joke, but a key player in the manipulation game

My comment at the start of my blog entry was lost by all the distractions that followed. General Stanley McChystal making a grim comment that 40,000 more troups were needed in no way resembled General MacArthur’s gung ho efforts to expand the war in Korea, or the more recent neocons on Iraq.

General Stanley McChrystal statements should be examined more closely. He was given credit for the relative peace now in Iraq, and his insight is well worth considering.

He asked for much more than troops, that US and Afghan forces be embedded together, eating and sleeping together and that US troops risk their lives in order to try to make civilians safer.

Usually in the past US soldiers took very small risks, except to try to save a US buddy’s life. So McChrystal was saying that if US soldiers behaved perfectly and the US totally committed, in all our focus like during World War II we might win.

In Afghanistan, people have frequently changed sides, and Karzai is hopelessly associated with foreign invaders. Embedded Afghans could easily win amnesty for their family and themselves, if the Taliban imprisoned them, by killing their American buddies.

In Iraq, al-Zarqawi was such a goon that even bin Laden asked him to quit. Some Sunni fighters got so upset with him that they joined the Americans, and had a big price on their heads by al-Zarqawi. If al Zarqawi had offered them amnesty in return for killing their American buddies they ended up embedded with, there would have been no reason for them to believe him.

Obama withdrew US troops from the cities in Iraq under the condition that they would not return, unless asked or were witnessing a renewed tit-for-tat blood bath between Shiites and Suniis. Since the Shiites are more or less in charge and don’t want US troops back in they haven’t responded again to al Qaeda suicide attacks by randomly attacking Shiites. So finally the ethnic bloodbath is over.

So now sadly instead of cheering we forget about Iraq and instead blame Obama for everything that goes wrong in Afghanistan.

I think we should encourage McChrystal to expand on his insights instead of dismissing him erroneously as someone who loves war. Getting probably someone contractory information from soldiers in the field might be helpful as well

There are ideologies whose only interest in Afghanistan is that it might trip up the progressive agenda hear at home. They are not soldiers in the field whose honest insight needs to be treated with respect.

I don't see bin Ladin as a joke, but a ghost. He is a specter, a boogeyman for the MIC and their "War on Terror" which will never be won because there is no defined enemy. Never ending war is used to control and manipulate the world. It is state condoned terrorism. Agree with us or else.

Americans should be mad at Israel. We send that atomic theocratic nation some $9 billion plus per year even while our own infrastructure rots. They spy on us and steal our state and corporate secrets but get only a slap on the wrist or no punishment at all. If Iran had been caught like this we'd have invaded already.

Ask the soldiers how many al Qaeda they have captured or killed and the answer is none. Sure they've captured or killed hundreds of thousands of ethic tribesmen from opposite warring factions that have been fighting each other for thousands of years but organized al Qaeda?

Al Qaeda is a myth. It's not a real organization. You have been deceived. The War on Terror is a fabrication for profit and resource control. Welcome to fascist imperialism courtesy of the USA and NATO.
