The problem is that when these politicians stop screwing their mistresses or prostitutes…they head straight back to their office to screw the American public.

The fact that the politicians Washington are assholes isn’t evan news anymore. The only news value here is the fact that no one is doing anything about it. What would really be news is if anyone in Washington did anything other than get blow jobs.

It’s not the screwing around that gets me ticked, it’s the utter hypocracy when they then turn to the masses and talk about “family values” and such. And your reaction is entirely indicative of the majority of the American people over what those we vote into office do in our name – especially the previous 8 years.

This kind of thing is rampant at all levels of government, not to mention the average citizen’s existence. I don’t really care what they do, as long as they use their own money – not mine.

What we should understand is the reasons why some are outed (Spitzer) and some are not (Frank). If Spitzer wasn’t going after the banks, he’d still be governor and he’d still be boinking call-girls.

Stratocaster, you hit the nail right on the damn head. I also agree with griff, and the general consensus that these pols are all hypocrites and thieves. Too bad we can’t get a decent candidate to run for office. But then, of course, he/she wouldn’t get the nomination of a national party (read: Dems and Repubs)- maybe because the party is too busy partying, huh? They sure as hell aren’t taking care of the business of government.

WHAT? Barney Frank is GAY? OMG, Stop the presses.

Why would you say that Barney Frank has not been outed? Perhaps the reason he has not been charged with any crimes is because he hasn’t committed any.

You may note that Spitzer may have been going after “the banks” but Frank has repeatedly and publicly urged a 25 percent reduction in US spending on defense. I think that if there was smoke floating around Frank the vaunted “MIC” would have been blowing on the embers. Or is the MIC not as potent as “the banks?”
