I agree that you should discontinue blogs, but offer columns to those who wrote well and followed the guidelines. This, despite the fact I worked for an hour on a blog post that was denied! Dang!

Shutupskie, seems rather harsh….

Humble pie, is enough within reason to trust that in it’s own form it is not poison.
After too many tastes,what’s left is figuring out,
why you are eating it.

If we’re really that out there, isn’t that where the newsman is supposed to go?
Directly, toward the embarrassment?

Can public opinion ever exist as a viable entity once the valve is closed?

Would that I, and Helen Rainier had a vote.

I haven’t read the blogs in a long time. I’ve only recently resumed posting comments after articles on the main page. I promise to quietly go away again soon. grin.

Seriously, though, Doug, there are some commenters who really could pull off a decent weekly column. Not me for sure, but some of these guys that follow CHB are pretty lucid, analytical, literate characters.

This is a loss for those of us who enjoy reading others’ opinions, whether we agree or not, and enjoy engaging in topical discussion. Would it not be sufficient to chastise those who abuse the privilege, and ban them if they repeat?

Were I to abuse the privilege, in your eyes, then I would appreciate and respect your admonishment.
