As a libertarian, I am constantly astounded by the hypocrisy of so-called “conservatives,” especially radio talk show “conservatives” who are now mewling and ululating over the projected Obama deficits in the trillions of dollars.

Not that I support Obama’s insane program of spending ourselves rich; no one in history has ever become wealthy by running up huge, unpayable balances on one’s credit card. In like manner, you can’t spend yourself out of a recession, because spending is the cause of the problem, rather than the solution.

But to hear nitwits like Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, and Levin scream about how awful the Democrats and liberals are for creating huge deficits, is more than we should be asked to bear.

This, from the same folks who ho-hummed the Bush deficits when they approached half a trillion. This, from the same folks who lauded a completely unnecessary and unwarranted war in Afghanistan and Iraq, which has cost us well over a half a trillion so far, with no end in sight.

These alleged “conservatives” whimper about the “intrusive government” of Obama. Where were they when George W. Bush, the alleged “conservative”, trampled all over the Bill of Rights by authorizing torture and warrantless wiretaps?

But don’t worry, alleged “conservatives.” Why, in fact, do you detest Obama? He is going to continue your precious little wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and likely will expand them to Pakistan and Iran, if given half the chance. The only thing that might prevent this is a complete monetary collapse, which may come to full fruition under Obama, but was the creation of George W. Bush (along with every other administration of the past fifty years or so).

Obama will continue to meddle in the fields of education and business, but don’t worry. He won’t be there forever. Then, when the voters have grown sick of the Stalinist wing of our one-party system, they will switch over to the fascist wing, and you can use the powers Obama gives you to meddle in education and business as YOU see fit.

If America is to be saved, and returned to some semblance of a free society, it won’t be through the Democrats or Republicans. They are two sides of the same coin, tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber, an iron fist in a velvet glove versus an velvet fist in an iron glove.

What is needed? A revolution, complete with torches, pitchforks, and trials of the leaders of at least the last two administrations.
