I happen to agree that Afghanistan should be the focus of our military action, and that we should withdraw completely from Iraq in 4 months, not 18. I don't think Afghanistan can be compared to Vietnam because I think we can, if we kill the leaderS of the Taliban, specifically Osama bin Laden and the next 5 men under him, end the Taliban's activity for all intents and purposes. If we need to pursue into Pakistan, so be it. Bin Laden should not feel secure regardless of where he is holed up, and I believe that with a concentrated effort and all the sophisticated resources at our command, we can prevail.

I think that Bush/Cheney diverted the Afghan effort and hunt for bin Laden in order to put big bucks into their own pockets and the deep pockets of their Oil buddies. NOTHING in the news before or since seems to contradict this view. I believe that George W Bush will emerge as the richest man in the world, even though much of his wealth will be hidden from prying public scrutiny. He has made enough people rich beyond their most optimistic dreams, and I am sure that none of them would be adverse to hiding a few hundred million for this dumb 'Decider.'

My greatest wish is that Bush and Cheney not be allowed to escape with the billions of dollars they are stealing from the taxpayers, and that they be made to pay for the lives lost in Iraq due to their fake 'war' against WMDs. I want them to be tried, for surely they will be convicted if there are 12 good men or women who cannot be bribed--IF. What a large word that is for only two letters--IF.

It seems to me that IF we can bring them to trial, and if we can find an honest jury and judge, there will be no "IF" when it comes time for a verdict. If I am correct, then these two traitors will find justice at the end of a rope, just as they administered this same type of justice to their pawn, Sadam Hussein.

I doubt that either Bush or Cheney will show the courage that Hussein showed at his execution, but most of all I would really like to see just what does happen.

What's that saying--you can fool some of the people some of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.

Try em fair and hang em high...

I think that Bush/ Cheney

I think that Bush/
Cheney diverted the Afghan effort and hunt for bin Laden in order to put big bucks into their own pockets and the deep pockets of their Oil buddies.

I couldn't agree with you more. The focus should ALWAYS have been Afghanistan until Bin Laden and the other head honchos in that organization were captured, killed, etc.

I don't think GW/Dick really wanted to get them though even though they put on a really good show about it. They would not have known what to do with him.

Unless...they already have these guys somewhere in custody that no one knows about it and that's how they conveniently come up with new tapes.

Oh well, I need to take a moment to escape the paranoia that comes over me from time to time.

Here's the part that really just blows me away? How do these guys, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzalez, etc...the list is very long....get away with blatantly breaking the law.

NEVER in the history of our government has an administration publicly and blatantly lied to their constituency and blatantly thumbed their nose at the rule of law.

I believe the Supreme Court ruled that Nixon could not use this notion of "Executive Privilege" to coverup his participation in illegal activities.

Hell, we had to go through 2 or more years, listening to these same guys go on and on using the rule of law as an excuse to impeach Clinton and make a public spectacle.

No President, No Vice-President, No Attorney General, etc....ever in the history of this REpublic gotten away with lying to Congress, refusing a Congressional subpeona.

I remember how the mere threat of a Congressional subpeona had people running for cover during the impeachment days.

This is the part I cannot stand. It literally is making me ill. And it will be the demise of our civilization if it is allowed to continue.

There cannot be such hypocrisy in government. There cannot be one set of rules for the rich and another set of rules for everyone else. America should not be up for sale to the highest bidder who just might be our enemy.

If this administration is not accountable for its illegal and immoral actions, then never again will any administration be held accountable.

RichardKanePA Bush isn't

Bush isn't quite that bad.

Perhaps if Bin Laden died in a blaze of glory we would have been even worse off today. Al Qaeda kingpin Zarqawi supposedly fell off his stretcher, when the Iraqi army caught him to get away from the Americans. This PR of ruining his image helped the serge to work a little.

I'll commit heresy. Why shouldn't the US government make up lies to hurt their image, except as soon as we set al Qaeda back a little the US government goes on to other things.

Again I think the Dalai Lama might have it right, Bush is a good man who doesn't have a clue to what is going on,

When Bush was in college he suggested the professor was a communist for assigning the Grapes of Wrath to read, I'm sure he honestly thought he was making an intelligent comment rather than saying something wrong. He was greatly helped from alcoholism by a faith based outfit, why shouldn't he hope that others get helped the same way as well.

I'm sure Barak, has some of the truth, perhaps even most of it, but the information in this posting needs to be factored in as well.

Actually he is worse.

This sounds like disinformation to me.

Most people just don't understand George. The truth is they can't really relate because they didn't grow up in that environment. I did.

It's not only bad, it is worse than bad.

People need to stop making excuses for GW and his administration's criminal behaviour. If there is no rule of law for one class, then there is no rule of law for the other. An eye for an eye so to speak.

This is nothing but class warfare and must be ended asap if we are to reclaim our country.

Attacking Afghanistan is

Attacking Afghanistan is every bit as cowboy stupid as attacking Iraq or attacking Iran.

War is a racket .. but at what point will Hollywood nurtured lobotomized Americans wake the hell up and recognize this all too obvious truth?

We are in Afghanistan chasing ghosts of our own invention. If 9/11 is supposed to be why we're in Afghanistan .. THE SUPPOSED HIJACKERS CAME FROM SAUDIA ARABIA, not Afghanistan. Who is dumb enough to believe the US will attack Saudia Arabia even if Bin Laden opened a bakery there?

Americans on the left and right are so easily played and manipulated that it is indeed sickening.

America desereved George Bush. He was simply the product of our massive stupidity.

I could have sworn I posted

I could have sworn I posted this before:

1. Osama is not the leader of the Taleban. At best he is a guest.

2. I thought we learned our lesson about invading a sovereign nation. Pakistan has nukes, and if you think they would hesitate to use them you might well end up with fallout in your shorts.

3. The chances of any of the current US leaders being brought before an international court are somewhere between slim and none, and Slim just headed off to the mountains. It is not going to happen.

4. It was the Iraqis that hanged Saddam, not the US.

It was the Iraqis that

It was the Iraqis that hanged Saddam, not the US.
Watch the video, NOT WORK SAFE.

Did you really see Saddam die? Are you sure those hooded and uniformed people are Iraqi's? Isn't that rope too long? Isn't it anchored to a wooden spool that couldn't weigh more than 100-pounds?

Just some things to think about. Once a CIA asset, always a CIA asset. Just like Bin Laden.

Oh, for Pete's sake. You

Oh, for Pete's sake. You really believe that, don't you?
