This is precisely why we all need to work together to ensure that John McCain does not gain control of our govt. He will continue the failed policies of Bush/Rove/Cheney. NO MATTER our differences here on many issues, there is one thing we pretty much all agree on is that Bush is the worst president ever. Karl Rove is going to pull out all the stops behind the scenes as well as using his new position at Fox to manipulate the neo-con base. If we allow him to dominate the political conversation so we can bicker back and forth, then perhaps we do not deserve freedom and justice for all (not that we have that currently). As a group we are a very insightfull and intelligent group. It is important that we keep the heat turned up on the failed policies of Bush that McCain whole heartedly embraces. Bush can't stand McCain but needs him to continue his cover up of his illegal activities. McCain can't stand Bush but needs his crazy supporters to seize control of our Federal govt. If these guys can put aside their differences to keep power, then it's HIGH time we put aside our differences and come together for the next 6 months to rid our country of the pests that have enabled the Bushies to dominate our political conversation for the past 10 years. If this is allowed to happen, then our country will go bankrupt similar to what happened during the fall of the USSR. I for one would not like to see that happen. It would not be a good thing. It is time to get rid of the steal and spend Republicans who take from the poor and give to the Rich. It is pathetic when Warren Buffet, the richest man in the world, pays LESS TAXES THAN HIS SECRETARY. In many ways, we have taxation with NO representation because the Genuises of Propaganda (GOP) have consistently robbed from the middle class to give to the rich. I asked this question yesterday in another thread and no one answered, so I will ask it again? Wasn't the Revolutionary War started over the very same principles that we are fighting today with the Bushies and the crazies that support and enable their failed policies. There are those who will try to deflect their actions by blaming others like the Democratic party. However, it is also time we admitted that it is very difficult if not near impossible to make changes when one side purposely blocks and and all effots with no concern for those who gave them their job but instead to a political party whose loyalty is to those with the big money. Many Republican Senators and Representatives have worked earnestly for compromise, but there are many like Minority Leader Senator Boerhner who operate behind the scenes like Karl Rove and threaten to prevent anyone who crosses party lines with political repurcussions. I do not believe this was the original vision of our founding fathers who, I might add, were not without their differences. We idolize these men as if they had some divine insight when in fact they were just men who could not live under King George and his policies. Today we have our own King George and we are just about to get rid of him once and for all. But we do not need a King John to replace him. It reminds me of the story of Robin Hood where Prince John who wanted to be King was robbing from the people of the Kingdom in order to finance his illegal takeover of the throne from King Richard. We do not need Robin Hood to rescue us. We just need to work together for the rest of the year to ensure that our country remains semi - free, at the very least. Once we have ensured that the GOP led secretly by Karl Rove is not going to control our govt for the next 4 years, we can go back to bickering as usual on some serious issues. REMEMBER TO REELECT THE FAILED POLICIES OF BUSH/MCCAIN IN 2008 WITH ALL YOUR SILLY, PATHETIC SQUABBLING WHILE THEY SPEND $4566 PER SECOND IN IRAQ! ONWARD TO IRAN!

See what I mean? Check this

What is good for Senator Boehner is not good for the American public as far as wiretapping goes
These are the guys who have enabled Bush/Rove/Cheney for all these years. John McCain is another one of these guys.
Pollchecker. Even before
Submitted by Sandra Price on May 22, 2008 - 6:13am.Pollchecker. Even before the 2000 election I was exposing Bush for all his weaknesses here at CHB and all over the 'net. I became the most hated writer on the internet. I asked over and over what the American voters really wanted and the same answer came back. "Family values" meaning a President who would not bop interns. The voters saw nothing else to the point they brought in the religious right through buying them with church grants. I knew exactly what kind of leader he would be and I was disgusted with the voters. Bush had no competition with Gore or Kerry.
I see McCain as a feeble clone of Bush. But again the GOP has no agenda to work for and will settle for McCain as they hate Liberals. 90% don't even know what a liberal is but Rush is guiding their votes.
The GOP has gone from ignorance to ugly mean comments about their enemies the Liberals. Many of my oldest forums have called me names I could not mention here because I became a liberal when I gave up any respect for the GOP under Bush.
This is the reason I will never vote Republican again until these hateful, rotten and dishonest people leave the party. It won't happen in my lifetime and the only way I see for any future in America is make McCain the poster boy for defeat!
I fear we do not have the Democrats in Congress to stand up to this corruption and only one or two really seem to understand the critical position we are all in.
Yesterday Jim Webb was interviewed all over the MSM and he has the solution to getting Obama elected. He has the background in those areas where Obama was weak and understands the people as he comes from those people. He is the answer for success.
Not anyone I spoke to yesterday ever heard of him. How can I help you get this situation to the CHB people?
Sandra, I too, spoke out
Submitted by pollchecker on May 22, 2008 - 8:03am.Sandra, I too, spoke out against Bush but just in different forums. Personally I just didn't think the general public was dumb enough to elect him the first time(they actually didn't, Karl stole it) and certainly not dumb enough to do it a 2nd time. So I understand your frustration.
But that is the past and the only thing we can do is learn from it so it doesn't happen again. Because you are right. John McCain is just another Bush, maybe worse!
I have yet to meet someone here that still believed in GW. Most polls show GW's policies are opposed by the General public by 60-70%. Of course, we both understand that this doesn't matter. This is the same way John McCain will rule our country as well.
We need to remember this. We can squabble about exactly how to fix the country after we get remove those that supported and enabled their policies. As far as I am concerned the only right position is an Anti-Bush position. Everything after that is up for debate (very big grin).
I've found so many people here at CHB that I agree with on many issues and disagree on other issues. But isn't that the American way? Sometimes I feel empathetic to Al Gore because I understand how tempted he must be to stand up and say to the world...I WAS RIGHT! Be he hasn't even though he could. As a result he is one of the most respected men in the world. He sure wouldn't get that respect as President.
Here's your link to the Webb story:
Jim Webb Speaks Out On Race, Addresses Grievances Of White America
Jim Webb hasn't been heard of much because he was just recently elected Senator in 2006. But many people here at CHB know of him and his has been discussed as a possible VP nominee.
I do not believe that will happen as his Senate vote is needed for the Dems. But I do expect him to be prominent on this campaign as he is a popular caucasian Christian male who is against the war and not afraid to go up against GW and company.
We just have to remember here that our future is on the line here. We cannot allow John McCain to take control of our govt and our country. We cannot allow John McCain to rule our country by appointing 2 to 3 Supreme Court Justices who will be just like GW's appointments -- super neo-conservative.
So this may be the most important election of our generation. We must keep the focus on the flip flops and all out hypocrisies of John McCain. Karl Rove showed us that words matter and that if you say something enough times it becomes truth even if it false. But this principle works both ways. Eventually McCain will get so frustrated that he will show his true temperment.
Did you see yesterday's article about McCain's minister? It will make you crazy. Check this out!
