![]() Sen. Barack Obama draws a record crowd in Portland, Oregon (AP Photo) As Barack Obama continues his inevitable march towards the Democratic Presidential nomination and Hillary Clinton ignores the obvious, the political professionals involved in both campaigns are starting to work towards a merger of campaigns to try and salvage a win in the November general election. While Clinton is expected to easily win Kentucky, Obama drew a crowd of 75,000 plus in Oregon, a clear indicator that Obama mania is back and only a major cataclysmic event can prevent him from capturing the Democratic nomination.

Submitted by JudyB on May 19, 2008 - 3:26pm.The question is "will the next V.P. have anywhere near the power that Cheney has had?"
Until the recent past, I agreed with the John Nance Gardner' quote "The vice-presidency isn't worth a pitcher of warm piss"
Cheney has changed that forever, as he's been the man with the power, brains and say-so on foreign matters, Bush has served as his mouth piece...together this mouth piece and brain combination will prove to be the most destructive
team in our nations history.
It would be great if the voting public knew in advance to their voting, who the presidential candidates vice presidential choice might be.

Submitted by Carl Nemo on May 20, 2008 - 2:32am.Triumvirate Redux...
This entire campaign has become utterly disgusting to this point. Obama and Hillary merging before the nomination issue is settled...say what?!
They need to have John McCain merge with them too and all three of these duplicitous pol clowns can march onward hand-in-hand to the Whitehouse to become the "First Triumvirate of the New AmeriKan Empire"...!
This is what happens when shadowy corporatists through their army of lobbyists take over a nation. Supposedly there are over 40,000 registered lobbyists influencing these legislative mattoids. As far as I'm concerned "We the People" are toast.
It's the "twilights last gleaming" for this once great Republic... : |

Unfortunately we are all going to take a hell of alot more from these elected sob's before our national paradigm collapses into utter chaos.
We the people are assuredly getting the government we so sorely deserve in spades...!
