This REALLY scares me! This guy is a crazy warmonger that makes GW look tame. Check this out!

McCain Would Evict Medvedev From G-8, Push Russia on Democracy

President George W. Bush said in 2001 that he had looked Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the eye and ``was able to get a sense of his soul.'' Senator John McCain says he looked into Putin's eyes ``and saw three letters: KGB.''

McCain, 71, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, favors expelling Russia from the Group of Eight club of industrial powers. He calls for forging a ``League of Democracies'' to confront Putin and hand-picked successor Dmitry Medvedev, who takes over tomorrow, on Russian threats against former Soviet republics and rollbacks of domestic freedoms.

Not enough? There's more! Check this out! You can even watch and listen for yourself.

McCain: We Need A "League Of Nations" To Counter Iran

Stay tuned for more. This guy flip flops every day on some issue dealing with our National Security but will still try to portray himself as the candidate of National Security. Didn't GW make it a bad enough joke as it is?

McCain is the scariest

McCain is the scariest candidate in my lifetime. He is a warrior and he will build an American Empire even if it means dumping our Constitution.

If he wins the election he will have the Supreme Court and the Federal Judges working for him. He will work to remove Roe vs Wade and all rights for homosexuals. He will put them all together as an Amendment to the Constitution and he may even declare a war with Russia to cover his ass.

Wilson tried a "League of Nations" and failed. Instead we got the United Nations who has done little for the nations who need food, water and communication services.

He talks about the U.S. Constitution and knows it will have to be Amended to allow his agenda items. This is the base of the Social Christian Conservatives. A vote for McCain will remove the individual choices that are ours according the 10th Amendment.

I do not wish to hand my freedoms over to any Evangelical to line up in front of the White House and call me a sinner. Christians need this and I do not!

Sandra -- real christians

Sandra -- real christians don't need it either. Unfortunately there is a radical group that supports the policies of Bush/McCain.

Have you ever noticed how the most conservative sects of a religious sect are always the most radical? Doesn't matter what they are called?

We grew up in fear of a nuclear holocaust so we are NATURALLY cautious of putting these crazy types into a position of power. Hasn't changed in all these years, has it?

Inane McCain

Inane McCain

He isn't going to live long enough to do much of anything, let alone win this election. I wonder who his choices for VP are going to be? Let's see: Superman, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, Closet Monster, or Elmer Fudd?

Jenifer -- since he is a

Jenifer -- since he is a crazy warmonger, then he will pick another crazy warmonger to back him up the way that Dick has perpetuated GW lies. So the logical choice is Senator Lieberman in an attempt to cast himself as bi-partisan (hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha).

Imagine 2 crazy warmongers in the WH. Ouch!

Although I am not a fan of

Although I am not a fan of the author of this article, I must admit, this is a very interesting commentary....

What John McCain Told Me, and What it Says About How Far He's Fallen

John McCain is the biggest flip flopper to EVER RUN for POTUS! It is about time someone in the MSM started speaking out about them. Now if we could get the rest to focus on something other than Clinton/Obama contest.

»

How do you feel about

How do you feel about Clinton's commitment of this country - under her presidency - to nuke Iran if it should launch a nuclear attack on Israel?

Is Hillary Clinton a crazy warmonger and does she frighten you?

Most sincerely,

T. J. Flapsaddle

»

Honestly, I don't take

Honestly, I don't take anything Senator Clinton says seriously. I think she would say or do anything to be the POTUS!

John McCain has a VERY LONG record! One, by the way, he is quite proud of! Not sure why...but perhaps it shows his senilty (heh, heh)!

»

What makes you think that

What makes you think that McCain would not say or do anything to be POTUS?

If McCain were to say the same thing as did Clinton, would you believe that he meant it - even though he, too, is also saying it as part of a campaign?

Most sincerely,

T. J. Flapsaddle

John McCain has a VERY LONG record! One, by the way, he is quite proud of! Not sure why...but perhaps it shows his senilty (heh, heh)!

I anticipated that question, hence I added that comment.

Yes, John McCain has a long record. Which makes it that much easier to document his warmongering and his flip flops which I plan to continue to do.

I'm quite aware of McCain's

I'm quite aware of McCain's long record of hawkishness and of his flip-flopping on a number of issues. You are preaching to the choir on that one.

I simply do not share what I would call your naively sanguine assessment of Clinton's commitment of the country to a promise of nuclear retaliation as being simply campaign chatter. This candidate has also voted for the attack on Iraq, for the Patriot Act, for the continued funding of an unnecessary war.

She is no different than McCain. He will say whatever he has to to become POTUS, and she will flip-flop as necessary, depending on the political wind. Her remarks will come back to haunt her and, like her husband before her, she will parse whatever word(s) she has to in order to find a bolt-hole to escape from her predicament.

Most sincerely,

T. J. Flapsaddle

I do not support Senator

I do not support Senator Clinton and have said so on many occasions. This is not about someone who MIGHT BE the nominee. This is blog about the policies of someone who IS the nominee of his party, not Senator Clinton.

As for preaching to the choir, perhaps yes, perhaps no. But I have learned through the steal and spend Republican genuises of propaganda that if you say something enough times it becomes truth.

So I will keep saying what is the truth until after this election. Because one thing is guaranteed... the other side isn't going to let up on their disinformational propaganda.

RichardKanePA We got a

RichardKanePA
We got a problem in exposing McCain. Most Americans forgot we are supposed to be mad at Putin and Chavez, and are finally beginning to forget we are supposed to be mad at Muslims, how do we expose McCain, without reminded Americans that they are supposed to hate Putin or Chavez etc.

Eisenhower supported the Arabs, Johnson supporter Israel, the rest of the Presidents tried to be somewhat evenhanded.

The US peace-movement likes to criticize Saudi Arabia which to some Muslims is similar criticizing the Pope in front of Catholics. All this means there is a real possibility that the bin Laden wing of al Qaeda may actually succeed under either Hillary or McCain in convincing the majority of Muslims that the US is their mortal enemy.

McCain claims that Cubans were torturing him while he was a prisoner in Vietnam, which no one else substantiates, and while in Miami after Castro retired, said I “hope Castro dies soon.” So, tensions between the rich and the poor all over Latin America could escalate into warfare with McCain’s help.

We McCain haters have a real problem on our hands. Since most Americans forgot that they are supposed to be mad at Putin in Russia or Chavez in Venezuela, without realizing it, we can tend to remind other Americans that they are mad or worried about these guys. Some think the solution is to equate McCain with Bush despite McCain’s lack of a faith-based initiative, and his going back to Bush Sr and Reagan in trying to shut up his enemies as legally as possibly and still shut them up, instead of Bush Jr’s belief in evil terrorism. In Bush Jr’s mind, animal rights activists and bin Laden represents the same kind of wrong. So on the average there will be more civil liberties but those who criticize McCain personally will have a lot more to fear.

I hope I don’t get in trouble for changing the subject but in Philadelphia an illiterate piecework handymen Vincent Leaphart, who was married to a white woman, listened to classical music, and wore fancy meticulously clean clothing despite his on-call employment situation. He suddenly decided he was a slave to civilizations and went around trying to convince the rest of us as well.

So today 35 years later, most Philadelphians don’t want to mention the words Mumia or Move, (the back to nature commune Vincent started) because to do so is to spread racial tension. Vincent thought Isms: Capitalism, Communism, Racism etc, were delusions civilization imposed on us to separate us from each other and the nature world around us. While Mumia was defending Move he began to agree with them that civilization not capitalism or racism was the problem.

But somehow today to mention Move or Mumia’s name in Philadelphia discourages black and white Philadelphians from getting along with each other.

I wish there was someway of mentioning that McCain is going to cause trouble with Chavez and Putin without getting people mad or worried about what Chavez is doing, or how the Muslim world may hate us under either Hillary or McCain without getting people worried or scared about Muslims.

We have a problem and I hope we can figure out some solutions, both locally and nationally.

I don't hate McCain. I just don't want him as President of the United States. I believe I have stated good reasons why.

There are plenty of ways to point out McCain's warmongering! Stay tuned (wink)!

Are you guys serious? These

Are you guys serious?

These are hysterical commentary, and thoroughly idle opinions.. echoing around an intellectual vacuum-chamber.

Has nobody, got a sense of perspective?

The United States faces some serious challenges around the world, as witnessed by overseas observers such as myself -- meanwhile we have a standard of debate here, which would be considered poor for inter-pack warfare in the primate kingdom. Literally.

As an external observer, and interested follower of the Obama campaign, I would identify the majority of comments re. McCain on this site as ridiculous, & outright false, mis-characterization.

I would suggest the authors, stop sucking vacuum & get a sense of perspective.

Now, some factual background: (hope you're not allergic.)
- The USA faces a strong strategic challenge from Iran.
- Recent simulations indicate a multi-polar nuclear region, may be unstable; and that the concept of deterrence as balanced successfully between US and Russia, may not be effective in such situations.
- Nuclear capability being acquired by Iran, would almost certainly prompt states such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Syria to also acquire.

Now I can have an interest solely in the global economy, and not in way specific to the US economy -- and know that Iranian instability & overlook of key oil-exporting waterways, would pose an extreme danger for the entire global economy.

In contrast with suggestions, indications from McCain are of a strong *deterrence* policy. Zen paradox may be beyond the empty pools, of some minds; but essentially being prepared to fight, lessens the likelihood of a potential challenger mounting such threats.
(Up to a point, and based on effective preemption and counter-deterrence measures; and typically requiring counter-party understanding/ awareness of such measures. See 'Strategy of Conflict', Thomas C Schelling, Harvard University Press.)

Indications are also that such deterrence campaign, would be enforced by the threat of *bombing*, rather than land invasion.
With McCain having suffered the trials of combat himself, at hand & on the ground in person, his attitudes and understanding seem at great variance to the Bush/ Cheney/ Rumsfeld 'strategic incompetence' doctrine.

I would also consider Sandra Price's comments, to be inaccurate & most likely false, in each & every single point.

I would suggest some background understanding & research into the United Nations and historical 'League of Nations' might enlighten & improve her commentary;

In particular the degree to which both organizations are, or were, constrained by political considerations of their member states; and thus hampered/ prevented from fulfilling their mission.
Constraints imposed by US politics, especially Congress, have been particularly notable in this respect.

The United Nations was originally formed under the leadership of the United States, to continue from & replace the disbanded League of Nations (failed over the Japanese invasion of Manchuria, in the 1930's).

The fact that the UN Building was located & built in New York under American auspices, gives an indication of the extent to which the UN has proved an effective tool for extending American diplomacy into the multi-lateral sphere.

While other countries have significant influence & some powers of veto, (lack of such contributed to the L.o.N. failing), the UN has indeed achieved a significant political, diplomatic & humanitarian advance for US interests;
- and in the interests of humanity & civilization, globally.

Thanks for reading, and I hope that this prompts you to become further interested & informed in such matters. Regards!

I read A LOT! I understand

I read A LOT! I understand the show A LOT MORE than most people in this country! I know what it going on in the world. And I am not going to stand by and let John McCain get away with ANY of the comments he makes when it comes to MORE WAR! Period end of story!

You can disagree with me if you like but if you can't be civil take it somewhere else. I would suggest you read the rules about civility.

McCain Wants Missile Defense

McCain Wants Missile Defense In Non-Existent Country

McCain still thinks he's a young and chipper 55, when the country of Czechoslovakia still existed.

A little nitpicky, but he's still citing a country that no longer exists...

McCain just said the United States should set up a missle defense system in Czechoslovakia. Should we assume he meant the Czech Republic?

Do we REALLY WANT ANOTHER GEORGE BUSH TYPE OR WORSE as the next POTUS?

Remember to reelect the FAILED POLICIES of BUSH/MCCAIN in 2008! Wasting $4566 PER SECOND in Iraq!

I'm waiting for John

I'm waiting for John McCain's "Howard Dean Moment". Only in this case instead of appropriate enthusiasm being blown all out of proportion into the actions of an insane man, I hope to see McCain, an actual insane man, "go ballistic" in response to a reporter's questions or in response to the democratic candidate in a presidential debate.

I have NO DOUBT in my mind that it WILL HAPPEN before we vote in November. He is what he is and no matter how they try to recast him, he will in the end show his true colors. Even GW did eventually.
