McCain criticizes Obama for vote against chief justice

I have read a lot of commentaries about how we are stuck with 3 candidates that are not that different.

I have heard well informed people say that maybe we should let John McCain be president so the Republicans can clean up their own mess.

And there are people who just aren't going to vote at all because their candidate isn't on the ballot.

There is one VERY IMPORTANT THING these people seem to forget and that is the SUPREME COURT.

I guess a lot of people just don't know that Supreme Court appointments are for the duration of their life.....or until they decide to step down and retire voluntarily.

GW Bush changed the Supreme Court by appointing 2 conservatives that would support the steal and spend Republican agenda. Here is what John McCain would do:

Republican John McCain is castigating Democrat Barack Obama for voting against John Roberts as Supreme Court chief justice.

McCain offered an olive branch to the Christian right in a speech about the kind of judges he would nominate planned for Tuesday at Wake Forest University. The far right has been deeply suspicious of McCain, the expected GOP presidential nominee, because he has clashed with its leaders and worked against them on issues like campaign finance reform.

McCain promised to appoint judges who, in the mold of Roberts and Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, are likely to limit the reach of the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion.

Do we REALLY want Supreme Court Judges who will continue the neocon agenda through the court system for 50 YEARS OR MORE TO COME?

If you aren't sure, then maybe you should read some of Justices Roberts and Alito's position. These men would rewrite the constitution so that it supports GW Bush's and the crazy right wing christian neo-cons that put him into office beliefs.

People talk about preserving our constitution, about saving our constitutional rights all the while preaching how bad the current round of candidates are.

OK, so maybe it's not the best we could have nominated. But it is what it is. And for the sake of our country and the precious documents our forefathers gave us, I'm not going to waste my vote for someone who doesn't stand a ice cubes chance in hell of winning. No, I am going to do what I have every year since I was eligible to vote......I'm going to support the person who has the best chance of getting elected and who will do the least damage to our constitutional rights in the Supreme Court!

So when you cast your vote, remember there are at least 3 members of the Supreme Court that could retire in the next 5 years.

Do you really want John McCain to be appointing these judges?
