If you have ever wondered about the profound effect War has on those who serve in combat, I suggest viewing a copy of the new film, IN THE VALLEY of ELAH.I think after doing so you will find an explanation for that Uncle or Brother that never quite seemed right upon their return.Be prepared for a mind numbing experience as it is a cold rendition of what WAR does to the young psyche.

Now that we've given up our
Submitted by bryan mcclellan on February 23, 2008 - 10:22am.Now that we've given up our youth to a meat grinder in an unjustified war in Iraq.How can they feel good about their sacrifice when it is based on a mountain of lies?What happens to their perception of reality when they return home to a government that promised to heal their wounds, only to find endless red tape to get even minimum care for their broken minds and bodies?I recently spoke with a young Marine(two tours Iraq/logistics)and he said it's too late to back out now.The whole region will explode if we do.He said the soldiers are tired and worn thin from little down time and repeated tours.His analogy is this,we hope they (our govt)packed our parachutes correctly but betting his life on it is a long shot at best.Do we not owe them better?

We must never forget we voted for these people and we should remove at least the House in November. We all should feel guilty of what has happened, and I fear will continue to happen.
