From "we the people's"

From "we the people's" standpoint there are no good reasons for war unless our country is experiencing a direct attack as a function of an invasion. Our military should only stand as a superlative defense force, never to be used for offensive reasons as Bush has done in Iraq. PNAC goals and directives want to change the U.S. order of battle into a proactive world police force raining havoc wherever our leaders direct our military to do so. Such redirection of U.S. military might in the hands of evil men such as we have now has demonstrated the failure of such policies and the inherent danger to the world at large.

Even Gulf War I under H.W. Bush was a contrived deal for the purpose of making bucks for the MIC, the oil patch and the bankers via the Federal Reserve debt-money scam. What Bush 43 has pulled off in Iraq is a historical mistake on this nation's part and we are now paying the supreme penalty; ie., headed for national bankruptcy! Bush 41 bagged his campaign 20 miles outside of Bagdhad because Dick Cheney, then Secretary of Defense advised him we'd get bogged down in a highly-charged partisan based debacle, both religious and political as Bush 43 has done!? Possibly too they saved Iraq for a future money-making conflict under "dubya". The MIC, "oil patch", and the bankers got a shot in the arm; ie., an infusion of cash off Gulf War I. They've now made an obscene seemingly never-ending infusion of the same as a function of Gulf War II.

The plot unfolds:

Saddam asked our ambassador at the time April Glaspie what would be the U.S. response if he invaded Kuwait with the intention of repatriating it to the greater part of Iraq? Actually Kuwait is not a very old nation and is basically a province of Iraq that seceded sometime in the past prior to Saddam's reign. They were also slant-drilling oil from Iraq's oil reserves another thing that po'd Saddam. So Jim Baker our then Secretary of State after consulting with H.W. Bush greenlighted Saddam to attack Kuwait and the rest is history. So even Bush 41 is a war-mongering crook no different than his son. He did manage to get the cooperation of a so-callled coalition to give him some legitmacy whereas Bush 43 failed to get such support. The Bush family has been making money off the U.S. and it's involvement in wars for the past 80 years or so as far back as
WW I.

Note: I suggest those interested in the truth behind Gulf War I to please read the April Glaspie/ Saddam transcript and then let it sink in that the entire Bush family are nothing but freebooting , war profiteers...!

http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/ARTICLE5/april.h...

Gulf War II was started on the cooked intelligence courtesy of the Wolfowitz-Feith-Cheney rogue intelligence pipeline; ie., certifying the absolute existence of WMD's, yellowcake uranium from Niger, etc. ad nauseam ad infinitum all later to be discovered all allegations to be pure b.s. It's a fact, our Congressional leaders know so, but refuse to stop the war and hold these guys accountable...?! Rest assured they are "all" making big bucks off this war even our members of Congress. :|

My point is that America is never engaged in simply happenstance wars, but wars that have been craftily engineered in order for greedy, evil people to make alot of money...!

So, from the MIC, "oil patch", and the big bankers' standpoint there's always a "shortage" of wars; their reason for waging war; ie., simply to make big $$ 24/7/365 til the end of time...!

"We the People";ie., us, our children and grandchildren are nothing but cannon fodder for the facilitation of ongoing nation-destroying war-based, money-making conspiracies...!

I wasn't sure what kind of

I wasn't sure what kind of response this ? would generate and was hopeful there would be none, as I am of the mind ,there are no good wars and few moral and just ones. It's sad that all the evidence points to governments and those in powerful positions being far removed from the central moral tenet of live and let live.Beware Man,for he and he alone Kills for sport.(planet of the apes#1)

I was happy to see some more

I was happy to see some more comments this AM - all day Friday I kept looking for MORE!

Your point was excellent -

The old flower child/hippy day slogan about war not being healthy etc etc etc would still spot on -

As are the words about those that not learning from the past being doomed to repeat/relive it - I wish I didn't have to reference THAT at least once per week -

So, on the same day Chimp babbled about 17k 'lost' jobs (btw, did they turn up yet?) - and ExxonMobil announces profits of 40BILLION - your blog entry was could tie into all of those 'issues' -

War is about control - so 'we' feel the need to control BEFORE we become controlled -

Keep the thought juices flowing here - and if we can continue to have SH slip in when the coast is clear - we'll all feel a wee bit better!

Hi Bryan, My apologies for

Hi Bryan,

My apologies for missing the point of your rhetorical question related to this blog entry. At least I've hopefully outlined that "we the people"; ie., the common people in this country don't start wars nor maintain protracted wars, but are victims or our leadership, with our District Congressional reps and Senators being the most culpable and not the President per se.

It's the same in most nations throughout history. Wars are started by national leaders working in collusion with military and banking interests to start and maintain wars with the so-called "little people" simply dragged along for the ride. Of course they pander to patriotism and alot of other downhome, feelgood pap to get young men to join or even use bait, such as college education and military training in high order skills etc.

So these con artists that we so foolishly continue to elect time and time again have their act refined at this game, while the average citizen is but a lamb for them to both tax and slaughter at will...!

Hi Bryan, LFTL et. al.

Hi Bryan, LFTL et. al. ...

In Ike's 1961 farewell address he referred to the military industrial complex, but in an earlier draft of the same speech he more appropriately stated beware of the "military-industrial-congressional complex". The military and the producers of the materiel of war can do nothing without the facilitation of our duplicit, traitors in congress, all on the make and the take...!

The most important candidates people need to be focusing on this upcoming 2008 election is not the two fools either one that might end up in the presidency regardless of party affiliation, but the rep that is closest to them and their lives; ie., their Congressional District rep; ie., if up for reelection.

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Militar...

I'm so burned out on my duplicit rep; Brian Baird, a Washington State democrat, that I'm hoping we are able to eventually send him packing. This republicrat takes one so-called "fact-finding" mission to Iraq and then climbs onboard with the Bushistas claiming we need to stay the course...?! He's not for bagging the war, he's not for impeachment. The only thing he's good for is getting more wasted "pork bucks" for methamphetamine interdiction, money for police agencies and other such minor, feelgood nonsense etc. Meanwhile many of his vapidly grinning constituents backhome in Mayberry think he's a great guy, not realizing that if we ended our involvement in Iraq in addition to curtailing the wastage of human life there would be a mind-boggling savings in tax outlays for the American people, freeing up some of this totally wasted money for the rebuilding of rotting, U.S. infrastructure; ie., bridges, roads, schools, sewerage treatment systems, fresh potable water supply etc.

These out of control globalists at all levels of our government are gang-raping the American taxpayer while the average citizen continues to stupidly focus on who's holding the office of the presidency. The president can't do squat if we have reps in place that would start protecting our interests as a nation rather watching our tax dollars get pitched to the wind in far off places in "engineered zones" of conflict.

So my advice to those that might be reading this is to consider dumping your incumbent if they've been voting pro-Bush for the past several years. I'm supplying the Congress.org link for particular reason. On the home page of this site, down in the lower righthand corner there's provision for signing up for a free Vote Monitor service. You enter your email addy, zip code etc. and you'll start receiving current updates of pending legislation that your Congressman and Senators are currently considering for passage. Locate their numbers and keep them in a folder on your desktop. So when you get a Vote Monitor alert on upcoming legislation and you have something to say, then call their office and have your sentiments logged. You probably won't be on the phone for more than five minutes, so the cost of the call is nominal. Also you'll feel well about yourself that you've done at least something rather than simply bitch on public forums or to friends about our @#$%@#! government...!

Hey Lefty and Carl: I

Hey Lefty and Carl: I received a response from Sen Joe Biden today concerning FISA bill(S 1927). He stated that his was a no vote and that he would continue to stand against the summary offenses that have been committed by this WH upon our liberties. In small measure I guess I made enough war on The Honorable Sen to get an answer to my concerns. This revelation has given me pause, and I've concluded that war waged in a just manner has it's place. Again thanks for the links Carl.

You are quite welcome Bryan

You are quite welcome Bryan concerning the links and I'm glad to hear you received positive feedback from Senator Biden.

Don't forget to sign up for the free Vote Monitor service that's available at www.Congress.org. The signup for the service is on the home page, down in the lower right hand corner. It's free and it's a great way to keep tabs on your reps while they hold office.

I think fundamentalists will

I think fundamentalists will always find justifications for their wars and sick, depraved ideologies. The cancer invades, the the justifications follow. These wars are the result of a bunch of judeo-christian sickos who have no problem murdering, lying, pillaging and profiting for sake of the "chosen." Jews to finally take the "promised land" for themselves after 4,000 years of trying, and Christians to bolster their already megalomaniacal egos and say, "nya, nya.... told you so....," when they destroy the world and Jesus "rescues" them. (yeah, right....)

Things like the MIC, our relentless financing of the Palestinian Occupation and our corrupt-beyond-recognition government are a direct result of fundamentalists who work feverishly to promote their own brand of sociopathic, arrogant ideologies, and I say this as someone who has worked in the white-Christian California defense-contracting biz (home of Reagan and Feinstein) and the Jewish-controlled mainstream media. Fundamentalism is the disease; everything else is symptoms, and the lies, wars, corruption, lies, wars and more lies just keep on comin'.
