Enough Already! Impeach The Little Bastard!

As the Bush administration crawls to it's close, they seem to be trumpeting their final insults to the rule of law, and to the country. Though it seems a crawl to those of us who cannot wait for the regime to depart, there doesn't seem to be enough time to put the final touches on their agenda to destroy America and get away Scott free with their crimes and the loot.

Now there seems to be a blatant announcement out there that Bush plans a "blanket" pardon, for anyone involved with his torture program, illegal spying, politicizing the Justice Department, creating an unaccountable army, lying to the Congress to go to war, and god knows what else we don't even know about (lots of convenient "suicides" occurred).

I think it's time for America to make one last final and loud push, to impeach. It's the only way to keep the little bastard from pardoning himself and all of his crooks and liars. If the Democrats don't get off their weak political asses and do something about accountability, they will lose, not gain, power in 2010.

I'm all for Barack's wish to join forces and get the country on the move, but if some of these people aren't punished for their crimes, they'll be back. Republicans have proven themselves to be criminal when in power. There is no reason to trust them. Look at Bush and Cheney, and many of their cronies left over from Iran Contra..also never investigated. Why should Republicans continuously get away with their crimes? I say we impeach Dubjah, NOW. It's not a long dragged out affair at all, and new members of Congress take office on January 3rd, which will be a majority able to impeach even before Obama takes office on the 20th. Kucinich has already done all the paperwork. What say you? How can we let these criminals avoid justice?

I second the motion. The Bush Administration is criminal and a bunch of thugs! Where is Dennis Kucinich when we need him? Get the snowball rolling Dennis?

Course, it will never go anywhere. And probably just cause more political bickering. But after all, it's ok to f**k those peasants called the American people.

It's class warfare and no one wants to talk about the dirty little secret about how 80% of the people pay for the privileges for 20% of the population.

For one, I'm tired of taking it up the rear but I don't see a solution. So it's kinda like beating your head into a brick wall again and again and again.

Yeah, MAYBE if we make

Yeah, MAYBE if we make enough noise they will throw us a sacrificial bone or two, but from what Pelosi and others have said they seem hell bent on sweeping it all under the rug. And why would that be? To a degree, there had to be some complicity from the folks on the other side of the aisle, that's why, that's what they are afraid of.

I have a feeling that they might be underestimating the rage of the people, though. Even the most hypnotized robotons are waking up to what has occured in the past 8 years, and it would seem that if the Dems want to save their own skins they might do a little distancing of themselves.

I am calling for one more

I am calling for one more rising about this issue. We want the Bush Administration held accountable. There is now, nothing to lose for the Dims...we won the election already..and WE won the election, not Nancy Pelosi. I understand that we may not comprehend the mechanics of politics in DC, I accept that. But the big excuse seems to have been, not wanting to risk losing the election..well, we didn't. Now, it seems, if we can make enough noise in a hurry, perhaps we can force this issue. I say we give it a try, otherwise, history will continue to repeat itself. I agree that the outrage was not calculated, but I think the response to Paulson's Bailout demands pretty much gave them an inkling, and perhaps we should gather ourselves for another push to be heard. There is time..maybe there are even a few Republicans ready to jump in as well by now..certainly there were in the electorate, if not in Congress.

There will be no accounting

There will be no accounting by anyone. After all, the Democrats owe their victory to Bush and the Republicans.

Policy questions were off limits during the campaign, buried under an avalanche of Bush hatred. They're still off limits.

Bush will ride off into the sunset and Obama will thank him for the tremendous power he so graciously acquired for him these last eight years. He'll give none of it back.

He'll seek more, and the lingering hatred for Republicans will make it that much easier to attain. It was all a power grab, not by or for Bush, but for the ruling elite as a whole. And while people are foolish enough to blame it all on Bush, we'll soon find out that the Democrats are just as incompetent and corrupt as the Republicans.

I have had no doubts about

I have had no doubts about the complicity and incompetence of the Democrats in all this. I have writhed in misery at their unresponsive, unstatesmen-like, un-Constitutional non-action, from not supporting Gore in the recount, authorizing Bush to go to War,authorizing the Patriot Act, NOT filibustering the countless other illegal demands the the Republicans shoved down our collective throats, not holding Bush accountable for the breaking of the FISA act AND being indicted by a judge for it, to the "taking impeachment off the table", and now emptying the coffers into their greedy hands.

It's been a long frustrating hellish 8 years and we ARE damned well furious about it.

We have voted in fresh Congress people this month and in 2006, who are hopefully arriving in January with some of our outrage understood. It seems possible, that if we make enough noise, maybe, MAYBE, we can still hold these criminals accountable.

Otherwise, what's the point? We're not just fighting for the rule of law, we're fighting to not become a province of the Republic of China, once they reel in the debt (the bathtub we're being drowned in).

Even the Congress must know by now, that they and their own, will pay in the end for their inaction and cowardice. Like it or not, the American People, must fight for this Democracy, or we will lose it, as predicted.

Impeachment is truly the

Impeachment is truly the only way to repudiate Bush policies and restore our Constitutional rule of law. But it will never happen. We are faced with the fact that our Republic no longer exists as we once knew it. Now what do we do about it?
