Wick Allison, Editor in Chief of D Magazine in Dallas-Fort Worth, is another true and established Conservative to realize that Obama is the best hope for this country... and the most likely to preserve HIS values. In an article entitled A Conservative For Obama, Allison states that "Barack Obama strikes a chord with me like no political figure since Ronald Reagan." Now there's an interesting observation. Here is a quote:
This comes after Chris Buckley's similar announcement (and it should be pointed out that Allison was formerly the publisher of William F. Buckley's National Review)leading one to the conclusion that traditional Conservatives are turned off by McCain's antics, which are not typical of traditional conservatism. With a little over 3 weeks until the election, the appearance of more intellectual conservatives seeing Obama as the most reasonable candidate, and with the lead in the polls growing in Obama's direction, I am optimistic that this is going to be a marked victory for the Democratic candidate.
